I am so damn frustratedā¦I had prepared this huge write-up on word on my fav remix supporting cast and remix as a whole but before I could save itā¦d power went offšā¦
So I have to re-write it all over againšā¦but as it is the second time aroundā¦it might lack the previous enthusiasm and spirit so to speakā¦.
Well wat to say abt Remix...it was as fresh as a newly blossomed daisy as unique as the handprint. I call the start of the show as revolution of sortsā¦.coz it broke the protocol of saas-bahu and other kind of shows meant only for TV buffs...remix like the channel was meant for the thinking audienceā¦..a niche audience who knew they deserved better and won't accept anything thrown inā¦..in the name of entertainmentā¦..the first thing I noticed at the show is the minute detailing that went into showā¦not only did the looks and styling of each of the actors suited the personality traits of their characters but even the room they live in were styled according to their likesā¦like the angels' room had a poster of the pop band Blues.. and yuvi's had the pin-up girl Christina anguliera's poster..and well Ranveer and his roomies aman and varun had a more decent wall comparatively..lolzā¦plus tha hairstyle each one of them had done by the talented Adhuna Akhtar was a thing to die forā¦other than Tia..i think Vrinda and Pri had an amazing hairstyleā¦esp Pri..she looked much thinner with that kind of haircut rather than she does in KGGKā¦
Another thing I liked abt the show..that foursum though were the leads were not much different from their friendsā¦the only thing that differentiated them from others were their attitude and the ability to dream big..otherwise more or lessā¦all of them were quite similarā¦and thei friends be it meher, pri, Vrinda. Sid or aman and MP had a mind of their own and were not mere chamchas or chamchi's of the lead foursome..
Of the roomies my favourites were all except for Aman and Varunšā¦I liked Aman's character but not his actingš..and varun's character was goodš but I didn't like his transition laterā¦.
Meherā¦was my most favouriteā¦mainly cos she's bold and smart and very calm-headedā¦wat I liked abt her was though she was shown as a very loose type of girl..but still there was sum dignity to herā¦.with sum justification tooā¦.she is a little mean but is genuinely a very nice girlā¦my fav scene of hers..are mostly when she's with her angelsā¦those r very cute scenesā¦and also the ones where she flirts with sid initially in the beginning episodes and also later on when she used to date Nakulā¦also add to the fact that of all the first timers in the show..she acted the best and got her act rightā¦.right from the beginningā¦
Pri comes a close secondā¦I think she got a lot of screen time comparativelyā¦.and she deserved itā¦.her insecurity, her health problem made her character more real and authentic.. her struggle with bulimia was handled with the sensitivity neededā¦.which was the highlight of the showā¦archana did a splendid job as pri..the way she gobbles up food and den gives this guilty look is so cuteā¦she has a very pretty faceā¦.i always wanted sum nice guy to love pri like she deserves..i really hated aseem when he two-timed her and also that creep aditya..but thankfully pri bounced backā¦though her fixation on finding the right guy sounds terrible..but is very heart-touching tooā¦to have such simple dreams..to love and be lovedā¦most fo pri's scenes in season 1 were my fav..even those with Aseemā¦I liked her unique dialogue delivery..she had a very different style of talking
Nakulā¦among the guys..nakul's my favā¦agreed he overacts a lot and his style of walking is very irritating..but he was the only comic relief in season 1 before sid took over the crown of the funny manā¦.and I think Nakul was betterā¦.he was everyone's fav punching bag..and Nakul used to love the attention..lolzā¦
His self-boasts were a hoot and his style were sumthing else..i mean where can u find a guy who dips sandwiches into coffee before eating it..nakul did it during his date with tia..and that too with styleā¦.and he genuinely considers himself to be the coolestā¦.my fav Nakul scenes were all his scenes with yuvi and sid..mainly with sidā¦they both together were a laugh riotā¦they fight they had over a stupid girl called sweety, and when Nakul comes to sid's rescue to break off from latika..and reads this breakup letter to her in front of a huge crowdā¦his expression's were hilariousā¦.and yes the scene where yuvi, sid and Nakul go out on a blind date and get robbed by the girlsā¦.that was so hilarious..also his dating antics with tia were so funnyā¦and those with meher tooā¦.also when he pays sum theatre actors to turn up as his rich parents to show off to his gf sweetyā¦and dey actually turn up in a Mughal-e-azam costumeā¦.remix was not the same after Nakul aka habib leftā¦
Sidā¦.he started being funny and silly after Nakul left but I also liked his previous character where he was more sharper..though still foolishā¦.he used to fall in and out of love quite easily..and the kind of girls he fell for went bad to worseā¦first it was meher..then Vrinda (both were good)..but then lathikaā¦and sum girl called sweety..and then Ayesha Maamā¦and even the girl who used to assist Sonal Masi at the cafā¦yuk..there was no accounting for his tasteā¦.my fav Sid scenes were the ones where he gets letters from meher and gets all excitedā¦.but his scared of yuviā¦and ya his scenes with Nakulā¦I think he looked awesum with Vrinda than Aman didā¦wish they were shown togetherā¦
MP's character was good and strongā¦I esp liked her will power and her ability to face anything aloneā¦her scenes with Arjun were a pleasure to watchā¦my fav scene was hers was when Arjun catches her in the caf late at nightā¦and literally assaults her and manhandles her..poor thing just sneaked in to have food..as she was hungry but Arjun humiliates herā¦but still MP didn't shed a single tear though she was humiliated and the way she dealt with him was commendable..
Vrindaā¦is ms. Goody two shoesā¦sees good in everyone..such people r really irritating in real lifeā¦coz u can never bitch abt sumone with them..lolzā¦no wonder MP couldn't stand her initiallyā¦but then again Vrinda is the only thing which used to bind the two rival groupsā¦also at sum point she did manage to bring the band togetherā¦.she dotes on her friendsā¦irrespective of the fact whether they proved to be good friends with herā¦for eg. Priā¦who troubled her so much..but Vrinda always liked herā¦.her self-sacrificing love for her sister is also very touching..fav scenesā¦most of themā¦except for those with amanā¦.sakshi also like archana and anu is a very good actoršā¦
Of the senior cast..the best thing they did was to take veteran actors for such roles..be it ranveer's mom or yuvi' dad or jumbo ā¦all three of them were very respected and talented as actorsā¦and of course vinay jain, sonia kapoor and anoop soni were excellent tooš..post on them laterš
