Thank u for this thought provoking post shruthi. .
You are right. India is just a mini world where one can find people of almost all the religions. But still people call india intolerant. I want such people to just study mindset of Paris after the blasts, people started suspecting n taunting those who belonged to the same religion as the terrorists. This is the case only after few attacks. But think about india, which is being attacked continuously since ghazni-ghori time. Though this is the case people are making efforts not to lose their sanity.

Thanks AV. We should ask people who call us intolerant can they show us one developed country or any other developing country where a member of a minority religion rose to the position APJ Kalam rose. Can any other country show us their entertainment industry ruled by people belonging to minority religion. We have SRK, Aamir, Salman and who is not mesmerized by the music of AR Rahman who is called Mozart of Chennai.
In Kerala a minister belonging to minority religion changed the name of the state accommodation from Ganga to Grace. Will he be left alive in any other country.
These are the questions we should ask ourselves and to the rest of the world. We have many problems but still I would say India is one of the safest countries in the world. Just because though world calls relations a weakness, that is our greatest strength too.

These two big actors (bold) even after seeing huge success they have an opinion of India being intolerant. When v have such mindset in our countrymen itself then what do v have to say about others.
No offence for their fans. Even I was his fan before.

@AV I understand. It even hurt me when Aamir said it, SRK I was not that affected, but Aamir yes very much. Somewhere an illusion broke I would say, the respect I had for him as a person.

Absolutely v were in illusion. I was an srk fan so was very hurt by his comments. Their comments looked like as if they are business men and they can go to any extent to get publicity for their upcoming films. I guess that's why they change their comments later when they want their films to be super hit.
