Hiya. Quite new to this as the last anime I watched was years ago, but where does one begin? Books or Films/shows? Any reading list for a newbie?
Thanks in advance!

most famous ones are Inuyasha , Naruto , Fairy Tail , Bleach , One Piece but also there are others like Skip Beat , Akatsuki no Yona , Ouran High School Host Club , Kaichou Wa Main-Sama and many more..you can read them or watch the anime..but Anime didn't completed..I will recommend you to read the Manga...

I got into anime and manga quite gradually, like it first started with pokemon and dragonball, you should defo read dragonball b/c it's like THE inspiration for most of the current gen of mangaka esp the ones who write shounen but yeah I'd suggest you to read b/c the dragonball series has been dragged out was more than any indian serial even after the manga was over in the anime.. with endless powerups and all.. so yeah.
Naruto was another one, but the writer ruined the ending imo so it's your choice to read it.
As for shoujo the very first one I read was skip beat and it's still one of my favs that come to my mind when I think about shoujo so give it a try.. if you want some more I'll be happy to suggest :)
So yeah I'll suggest you to read the manga than watch the anime, animes are usually influenced by the studios they are produced by with a lot of fillers and stuff so I'd say go for the manga and usually the amines skip important details too.

Thanks.
First I love your signature.

I haven't seen pokemon and dragonball z since I was a kid.
Terminology is going to affect me too, I have difficulty pronouncing words.
But I will definitely read before watching. I want to take it up gradually as well.
Where do you get the manga from? My library doesn't have many.

^ ah! Thank you for those sites. Definitely will look at your review thread when I have got myself started.
Any sites for anime? I'm not a torrent person. It makes no sense to me.

Aah it's actually okay if you don't start with them but do read dragonball when you get a chance and as for reading.. you can use those sites

and well if you prefer reading them on your phone them download the mangarock app on your phone, it's available on android phones xD you'll get a choice of different sites there too and well if you get deeper into manga go for these tumblr suggestion sites, just Google them or so b/c liking a manga totally depends on your taste and preferences 😳
