I never really got the big deal about Rahul-Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. I mean, there was no basis for their love story, was there? Pyaar dosti hai and all that jazz is fine, but we literally see no evidence of Rahul's 'love' for Anjali before he sees her in a sari and becomes all awkward.
I can understand being in love with Tina and being confused, but once she died, didn't he ever want to reconnect with Anjali? Just for old times' sake? It's like he totally forgot her. I felt there wasn't enough exploration of Rahul's feelings for Anjali.
Zoya and Parma- He made an MMS of her 🤢 and then, he only came around when his mom died. So, essentially, he felt guilty because of his mom's death and not out of any love or empathy for Zoya.
Bajirao&Mastani- Again, very Romeo Juliet kind of love story. I never was moved by RJ's love story because it was very flash in the pan. Romeo loved Rosalind before her and because Juliet was more beautiful, he fell for her. I don't see what's so classic about it. Seems shallow to me. Bajirao and Mastani also seemed like infatuation to me. Not much build up to their love story and again, very less insight into why they loved each other.
