So it's Sunday and I'm back with an update!!! ENJOY!!
Chapter 6The bullet hits Nandini in the shoulder, her whole body goes numb. She doesn't break her eye lock with Manik, her eyes express how hurt she is, she feels betrayed. Before she can say or do anything everything around her starts to become a blur. Her body loses all energy and she finds herself becoming weak, unable to stand she loses her balance and almost falls on the ground, the last thing she sees before blacking out is Manik catching her by holding her waist possessively, saving her from falling.
Manik holds Nandini very tightly before firing at Aryamman's men. After firing at a few cops, carefully making sure not to hurt them too much, and dodging Aryamman's bullets himself, Manik takes a smoke bomb out of his pocket and throws it on the floor. The whole restaurant fills up with smoke, no one can see anything. By the time the smoke dies down and clears up, Aryamman looks around to see Manik already gone. 'MANIK!! You're gonna regret this so much' he roars as he clenches his fist in anger.

'You can't keep yourself out of trouble can you!' Cabir says whilst driving. Manik was in the back with a unconscious Nandini in his arms. 'I don't get it.. How did Aryamman know where I was? There was no way he could've tracked me, this doesn't make sense' Manik said. 'Aryamman has more power than we think Manik, he can track anyone down. He has tracks of everyone in the country.. And you've been on his hit list for quite a while' Cabir replied. Manik sighed at his statement, 'thanks for coming to my rescue.. AGAIN, but how did you know where I was?' Manik asked. 'Your dad has been keeping a close check on Aryamman, he was informed Aryamman had planned to attack you. As soon as he found out he sent me to check on you, I was passing the services stop when I saw your car' Cabir informed. 'Thanks man' Manik said and again diverted his attention towards Nandini, who was sleeping peacefully. 'So she knows now?' Cabir asked, 'yeah.. She had to find out eventually, so better sooner than later. But I wanted to be the one to tell her, to explain everything to her' 'The Manik Malhotra wants to give a girl an explanation.. That's new!' Cabir said whilst chuckling. 'I don't know man, I feel like I owe her an explanation after everything I have put her through.. I just hope she understands' Manik said. 'She will understand.. And even if she doesn't I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to make her understand on your romantic getaway' Cabir said smirking. Manik glared at him in return, 'it's not a romantic getaway, it's a hideout to avoid any further disturbance in the plan till dad, you and Dhruv finish your business in Delhi' Manik said. 'Yeah but you can always make it romantic.. You know you and Nandini.. On a deserted island.. Aloneee.. Doinggg...' 'Cabiiirrr.. Enough' Manik cut Cabir in between and Cabir started laughing. 'But seriously ab jaa he raha hai toh kuch action kar ke ana, if you know what I mean.. Teri boring zindagi thodi exciting ho jae gi.. Mujhe bhi life mein thodi entertainment mil jaegi' Cabir said as Manik rolled his eyes.

Nandini opened her eyes with great difficulty, her head felt heavy and everything around her was spinning crazily. She blinked her eyes a few times to register the unfamiliar surroundings, and to clear her blurred vision. Suddenly the events of the night flashed before her eyes and she got up with a jerk. She checked her shoulder to see the gun shot but found nothing. She checked again to look for the bullet but her shoulder was perfectly fine, she frowned in confusion. She looked around her to find herself in a unfamiliar lavish room.
'What the hell?!' she mummered to herself as she got out of bed to find out where she was. She stepped out of her room and drowned in pools of confusion and amusement.
'Wow' escaped from her mouth. Being a beach lover, this place was her ideal dream place to be. This was the kind of place she had always dreamt of visiting. She could stay there forever enjoying the beautiful view, but right now she had to figure out how she got there. She looked around her, she could hear faint music, 'Manik' she whispered furiously as she heard a Kanye song playing. She put on the angriest expression she has, and monstrously followed the music so she could murder Manik.
She walked following the sounds of the music, and found Manik cooking wearing an apron and chefs hat whilst rapping along with the song. She walked up to him and stood right next to him shooting daggers at him. Manik looked at her and flashed the cheesiest smile, 'good morning.. Sleep well? Lunch mein kya lo gi?' he asked very causally. Nandini's anger kept rising with his causal attitude towards her after shooting her in the shoulder. She clutched her hands tightly to stop herself from killing him. To calm herself down she picked up freezing cold glass of water and threw it right on his face. Manik was startled by the sudden attack from Nandini, he stood there in shock trying to figure out what just happened, he focused his attention towards Nandini who was still glaring at him. 'What was that for?' he asked whilst wiping his face. 'WHAT WAS THAT FOR?! SERIOUSLY! That was for lying to me this whole time' Nandini shouted. She took the bowl of salad and threw it at him 'THIS WAS FOR KIDNAPPING ME.. TWICE' she continued shouting, she grabbed a cucumber from the table and threw that at him as well, 'THIS WAS FOR SHOOTING ME' she continued throwing stuff at him whilst he dodged everything jumping like a rat from one place to another. Nandini dropped everything to catch him, she held him tightly and started punching him on his stomach 'this is from hurting me' she said in a much softer tone as she continued punching him, tears made their way to her eyes and she started crying. Manik allowed her to do whatever she wanted, he patiently waited for her to calm down as she continued hitting him mercilessly. 'Manik tum criminal ho?' she asked, her voice almost choking. 'You're a.. a criminal' she whispered. Manik tried to wipe her tears but Nandini jerked his hand away, he again moved his hand towards her face and she jerked it again and looked away. Manik tried again, he bought his hand closer to her face, this time she didn't protest and let him heal her, he gently wiped her tears away and caressed her face. 'I never lied to you Nandini, I just didn't tell you the truth. I kidnapped you because you're not safe right now. I didn't shoot you, it was a fake bullet, which made you sleep. I didn't want to hurt you, I just wanted to keep you safe' Manik explained in a very loving tone. He sighed 'and lastly.. I'm not a criminal' he said looking straight in her eyes, Nandini's head shot up to see Manik, she lost herself in his eyes. 'I want an explanation.. For everything' she said looking at him. Manik nodded 'okay.. But first go get changed, everything you need is in your room, go freshen up and I'll get lunch ready by the time you're back and I'll tell you everything' Manik said calmly. Nandini listened to him and went back inside.

Nandini came out all dressed up and Manik smiled looking at her. She came and sat on the chairs next to the table he was cooking at. 'Yeh kiske kapre hain?' she asked curiously. 'My ex-girlfriend.. We came here last month for a date.. It was amazing, we had sooo much funnn, if you know what I mean' Manik said teasingly. Nandini glared at him 'I'm going back to change' she said angrily and got up to leave but Manik stopped her by holding her wrist and started laughing. 'Kidding baba.. Cabir and I picked this up before I bought you here last night.. We got everything we thought you might need' Manik said smilingly and Nandini also calmed down. 'So who's Cabir? Your partner in crime?' Nandini asked, 'well yeah.. Like I said before he's a business partner and my best friend' Manik said. 'So he helps you get away with all your crimes?' Nandini asked. 'Nandini, I'm not a criminal' Manik said defensively. 'Then what are you! You stole the koh-I-Noor Manik.. That's a crime!' Nandini said annoyed. 'Okay firstly you look absolutely stunning right now and secondly I stole the diamond to protect it' Manik said. Nandini blushed at the compliment and made confused faces at the protecting part. 'Manik I want to know everything' she said. Manik placed lunch in front her and for seated comfortable next to her. 'Okay so all this started four months ago, tumne Pasha ke baare mein toh suna hoga right?' he said to which she nodded. 'He's an international terrorist, he's a criminal Nandini. Agar woh diamond mein nahi churata toh koi aur chura leta aur us Pasha ko de deta. Aur woh Pasha diamond ka misuse kar ke bohot galat karta.. Nandini me Cabir, dad and my brother Dhruv are all businessmen but we are also part of the inspecting forces in India, we help the Indian army. My grandad was a commissioner, he used to look after cases like this. We're not criminals Nandini, we are patriotic and humanists, we want to prevent anything that could go wrong in the world and cause chaos. The loss of the diamond can cause massive distruction and we couldn't let that happen, especially by an Indian like Pasha. It would give all Indians a bad name. All were doing is protecting the diamond from him, till the English force find him and take him in' Manik explained calmly, Nandini had a disturbed look on her face. 'And about you, the day we met I was seen with you, ever since your life is in danger.. My enemies have seen me with you and they will go to any extent to hurt me, even if that means hurting you and I can't let anyone hurt you because of me.. I didn't kidnap you, I'm trying to protect you' Manik continued. 'Also when I promised you I would never hurt you, I meant it.. I will never hurt you. Ever! I care about you' Manik said looking deep in her eyes. Nandini was looking at him with the same intensity, 'why should I believe you?' she asked. 'Because you know you want to believe me.. I know you trust me' he said. She sighed 'promise me no more lies, no more secrets' Nandini said. 'If I promise will you allow me to...' Manik said still looking in her eyes but pointing at her lips to show his demand. 'Yes' Nandini whispered, 'okay I promise, no more lies, no more secrets' Manik said and leaned closer to her, Nandini closed her eyes allowing him and giving him permission. Manik smirked and covered the gap between them by taking her lips into a kiss, expressing the unnamed feelings in his heart. The kiss was soft, gentle yet passionate. They broke the kiss, Nandini still had her eyes closed feeling the passion and Manik smilingly kissed her forehead. 'Eat' he said pointing towards her food and she quietly started eating.
After lunch MaNan were lying on the beach adoring the amazing view in front of them. Manik was used to such sceneries because they were all his hideouts but it was very new for Nandini, she was loving every bit of it. 'Manik' she said after a while breaking the silence, to which he just hmmed. 'Hum yahaan kab tak hain? And what do we do from here?' she asked. 'We have to stay here till dad asks me to come back.. He has something important going on in Delhi so he needs to be there with Cabir and Dhruv. As soon as he's done we'll go back, maybe tomorrow or day after that, don't worry we'll keep you safe' Manik said assuringly to which Nandini just smiled. 'But what happens when we go back?' she asked. 'We return the diamond secretly.. So the English government has it, but Pasha won't know that. He'll keep looking for it. After the diamond is returned we'll execute our plan to trap Pasha. Once we have him all this will be over' Manik said. Nandini clutched his shirt really hard digging her nails in his chest, Manik kissed her forehead. 'It'll be okay.. Friennnddd' Manik said as he winked at her.
Okay so I know many of you have pointed out the story is very similar to Bang Bang. I did say at the very start the story is heavily inspired by Bang Bang, because I personally love that movie. But that doesn't mean the story will be the same as the movie, there is a lot of stuff coming up a lot more action, drama and a LOT more MaNan. So if anyone has an issue with the story being similar to Bang Bang please feel free to stop reading but I promise it'll get better :) have a good day xx
