I think it comes as no big deal as many Heavy metal band members pulled off such look even MUCH before Tom Cruise

Inspirations come from many bands so don't think Shahid's look needed any originality to begin with as he is playing local rockstar who is inspired by such metal bands. 😆

Don't need to give overrated Tom Cruise any credit here

I'm pretty sure Chris Angel and many others have similar goth punk dress-up.

Yup that lad. Used to watch his show. He brought that style much before Cruise had they photoshoot done for sure😆

Funny that Cruise seemed to have copied Criss Angel rather than Shahid copying either as Shahid seems to have facial hair and different hairstyle 😆

did not give Tom cruise any credit, but saw him before with the same look, carrying it better, so thought Shahid is looking weirdly bad and trying too much to look the crazy " Stacy jaxx " kinda guy ..

yeah Cruise reprised the similar role onscreen, and Chris and Cruise had sung a fun son in comicon 2014. Cruise's photoshoot was quite popular back then, after which Chris was also asked about the character quite a lot of times.
