Made for Each Other
Shlok and Aastha were leading separate lives because they were divorced.
Shlok was in the office. It was almost midnight and he still did not feel like going home. He has been like this for the last three years - always working with no rest and no time for anything else. He is almost like a robot - does all his activities automatically without any feeling or emotions in it.
Anjali sees him coming home past midnight. The next day she talks to Niranjan about Shlok. She tells him" Sahib you were wrong and I was right. You should not have told Shlok to divorce Aastha. I knew they loved each other very much. You should have convinced him to continue in their marriage. Divorce was a wrong decision. See how he has become...he lives like a robot with no interest in anything and is always working. I am worried for him." Niranjan" No Anjali I was right. Aastha was not a right match for him. She was very childish and had no responsibility. Moreover Shlok had married her only to take revenge and there was no love between them.I was right in telling Shlok to divorce her." Anjali" Then why does he live like this? He does not even smile. Why is he not agreeing to get married again?" Niranjan" Ok Anjali I shall talk to Shlok and convince him for marriage. We shall get him married to my business partner Ajinkya's daughter Swathi". Anjali" Please convince him. I cannot see my son wasting his life like this."
It was Sunday. Kavya and Karan (Kavya's little brother-2 years old) are pestering their Chahu to take them out for icecream. It is only in their company that Shlok is happy. He takes them to the icecream parlour. When he is parking the car he sees Aastha coming out of the parlour holding a cute two year old girl in her hand. She talks to her "Meri pyaari Nitika ko ice cream kaisa laga? Ghar chale?" She picks her up and goes in the car which was waiting for them. Shlok is shocked. He thinks" has Aastha moved on in life. Is she the mother of the cute girl?" He buys ice cream for Karan and Kavya and goes home. He is very disturbed and goes to his room and thinks about the past.
It was the day of the divorce final hearing. Shlok did not want to divorce Aastha. He had finally understood that he was wrong and Aastha did not do anything to spoil his father's reputation. He realized that he loved her and wanted to live with her. Niranjan comes to Shlok and tells him" Shlok today is the final hearing. I am sure that you have understood that Aastha is not a match for you. Go ahead and divorce her and you can live your life peacefully. You know I always say things for your good only beta." Shlok gets influenced by Niranjan and tells the judge that he wants to divorce Aastha. Aastha is shocked...she knows that Shlok loves her and had wanted to live with him. Before she could tell the judge that she does not want to divorce him, Shlok tells his decision. So she has no choice but to agree. She goes back to her home with her mom.
A few days later Shlok visits the city hospital. He has come there to visit Suresh's mother who has undergone a heart operation. He visits her and tells her not to worry about the hospital bills but to take rest and recover soon. On his way he sees Aastha with the cute girl once again playing in the garden of the hospital. "Mama" calls the baby. Aastha" Haan Nitika baby. Mamma is here. Come" and holds out her hands to the baby and lifts her up happily. Shlok was about to go towards her when he hears Avadoot talking to someone. He stops and overhears the conversation. Friend "Avadootji I am happy to see that Aastha has married someone else and got a kid also. I am really happy to see Aastha happy once again in life. She deserves all happiness in life" Avadoot "Rameshji yes Aastha is happy - but that is not her kid. That is my son Ankush's baby. Unfortunately Ankush's wife Mala died in childbirth. From day one, Aastha has been taking care of the baby. She only named the baby Nikita. Ankush has left the baby in her care and has taken a job and moved to US. Now Nikita is Aastha's life. She takes care of her and helps me a little bit in my business. All of us are happy that atleast Aastha is occupied. She has refused to get married again because Shlok is her only love. Come home one day Rameshji" So saying he goes off to meet Aastha to take her home.
Shlok thinks" I have always thought wrong about Aastha. how can I think that may be she married someone else. How many times she has told me that she loves me and is willing to undergo anything for my love. I am such a fool. I cannot live without her anymore. I am going to ask her forgiveness and ask her to accept me once again in her life. I am not worried about Baba. I know my happiness is only with Aastha." He goes to Aastha's house. He climbs up the pipe and jumps into her room through the window and hides behind the curtain. Aastha is trying to put the baby to sleep. "Nikita baby so jaao. Mamma hai tumhare paas...so jaao.." Nikita mumbles "Mamma...Pappa" and sleeps off. Aastha is crying silently. She says" I know Shlok that you love me. I cannot forget you ...that's why I have named her Nikita bcos you chose this name for Jyoti Tai's daughter. Why did you divorce me? How can I spend the rest of my life without you?" She cries and dozes off. Shlok jumps into the room, goes near her and kisses her on the forehead and tells her " Sorry Aastha I made the biggest mistake of my life by divorcing you. Can you please forgive me? I want to marry you once again since I know that I cannot live without you." Aastha wakes up and sees Shlok there. She cries and hugs him. Suddenly realises that they are divorced and pushes him away. Shlok pulls her back into his arms and tells her " No Aastha dont go away. This is where you belong...in my arms. I love you very very much. Will you please accept me as your husband once again?" Aastha is in tears and says" But Shlok, I am Nikita's mamma...I cannot leave her." Shlok "I know everything Aastha. You dont have to explain anything. If you are Nikita's mamma I can be her pappa right?"
Aastha nods her head and hugs him very very tightly. Both of them have an eyelock and share a very very passionate kiss. Shlok tells her" We are made for each other Aastha not only in this life but for the next 7 lifetimes".
