Shahid for Magadheera?

The remake of the Telugu film Magadheera is back in the news. The production house Phantom wants to revive it. After Hrs reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali might direct the project. But according to an insider, "That's just wishful thinking by Madhu Mantena, who has the rights of the film and wants Shahid Kapoor to do it. A few years ago, it was reported that Shahid was to reprise the role played by Ram Charan in the original. At that time, Sajid Nadiadwala had the rights for the film and Abhishek Kapoor was to direct it. Now SLB's name has popped up. But this is a very expensive film to make. Also, Sanjay is planning his own film. Why would he make a film with another banner? Besides, I don't think Phantom has ever done a film that requires a scale that only Bhansali can provide."
