CHAPTER SEVEN A

"Dev stop" I said gathering all the courage inside me when he was just inches away from my lips. He was definitely drunk because he made sure that I wasn't his type and that my presence was irritating then why was he getting so close to me?

He moved away and I took this chance to get far away from him. I started to walk when I felt his hand hold mine. Unusual sensations started right where he touched my wrist and ran all through my body. What is happening to me? Why every time he comes near me I feel this way? No doubt he is attractive and good looking and has this really amazing voice and he smells good...

NO I mentally screamed at myself. My subconscious mind was driving me crazy. I don't know how out of the blue I start getting those stupid thoughts. I need to stop thinking.

"What are you thinking?" he asked

"Nothing" I said

"No tell me what were you thinking? Cause I think I noticed you blush" he asked and I felt the tone of his voice change. Yes he was mocking me. And for the first time he sounded cheerful.

Stupid me. But how can he see my expression he is drunk and it's dark when I can't see his? He is supernatural. I laughed at my own silly thought.

"Now what are you smiling at?" he asked again

"Are you an owl or something else?" I asked him. Oh I wanted to see his expression when I called him that. That what you get for calling me a potato you owl.

"What did you just call me?" he sounded furious and amazed at the same time

Good. He deserved that

"How can you see all my expressions in dark? Oh how I wish I could see you face when I called you an owl" I laughed

"I'm not an owl. The street lights from outside the window is reflecting on your face that how I can see what stupid expression you're making" he said trying to prove his point.

Well I just needed to annoy him. So bingo!

"If your drama is over let's just go and get you water. Shall we?" he pointed towards the far end of the hallway.

"Yeah" I totally forgot that I was thirsty. OMG he is making me amnesic!

When we reached towards the end of the hallway I saw a room. He pointed toward the room asking me to go inside.

The room was big with a bed right in the middle of the room. The bed sheets nicely tucked inside and it looked like no one has come here in a long time.

"Whose room is this?" I asked out of curiosity

"Mine" he said

"Yours?" I asked confused

"Yes you can use it for tonight Pushkar said his car broke down so you will be staying here and the water is right there inside" he pointed towards the small fridge next to the closet.

For a change he was being nice. He offered me his room and told me where the water was, that was really nice of him and very different too.

"Where will you sleep then?" I asked.

"Remember that girl I was dancing with? Black hair with Blonde streaks?" he asked

"Yeah" I said when my eyebrows got pulled together in confusion

"I'm sleeping with her" he winked and then laughed probably noticing my expression

My mouth hung open. He doesn't even think before speaking.

"Close your mouth Sonakshi. Come on at least thank that hot girl what's her name yeah, Sayali she is the reason you have a room to sleep all others are occupied by other people" he said humour clear in his voice.

CHAPTER SEVEN B

I liked this Dev. The one who joked and laughed. He looks good when he laughs. I think I was just judging him. Maybe he is good person underneath that crude outer shell.

"Can I ask you something?" I kept my expression neutral he was in good mood and he is talking nicely to me well not very nicely but at least better than how he usually talks to me.

"If I said no you would ask anyway so go on, ask" he said

"Why did you take me along with you and pretended that you didn't know anyone at the hospital when clearly Dr. Thakur knew who you are?" I asked curiously

He didn't reply instead I noticed him getting uncomfortable like I had asked him something unexpected. Did he think I would simply forget? No I wanted answers. He kept his expression unreadable.

"Look let's not talk about that okay? Forget that happened and make sure you don't discuss it with anyone" he said after a long pause

"No you have to tell me you said you needed pain killer, for what?" I asked

"Nothing I'm fine my body was aching after I had a long football game with friends. It was nothing just forget about it" he said.

I knew he was hiding something. He did not make direct eye contact with me which made my doubts even more real.

"Then if you already knew Dr. Thakur well why you did asked me to help? And you could have just taken the pain killer directly from a pharmacy?" I said raising my eyebrows.

"Why do you ask so many questions?" he looked annoyed

"Because I like asking questions specially when it involves me" I snapped

He was so irritating. Why can't he simply tell me what was going on with him that day? I would just get my answers and he would be saved from all trauma of questions I would ask him!

"Get out of my room I'm dead tired and I want to sleep" I heard Dev say

"What happened?" I asked my eyes became wide in horror as his expression suddenly changed from cheerful Dev to evil Dev.

"I said out of my room, NOW" he said without explaining why. He said I could sleep here and he was planning to sleep with some other girl?

"But you said I could sleep here" I said trying to hide the anxiety from my voice

What if he did throw me out? Where will I go? What will I do? Oh god I should have never trusted him and should have never stayed knowing it's his house and his room.

"Yeah, now I'm asking you to GET OUT" he said and I could sense anger growing in his voice.

What happened to him suddenly? I just don't understand him. I asked him few questions nothing out of the blue and he gets all infuriated with me?

I walked out of the room without saying anything further.

I felt so foolish. For a split second I thought we could be friends and he could be a nice person. How stupid I was being thinking that he had any good inside of him. I didn't know where to go I couldn't call Pooja, she was too drunk to care and I didn't have any other friend other than her to call for my rescue. I was stuck with no place to sleep and nowhere to go.

This party was a mistake I'm not going to attend anymore parties no matter how much ever Pooja pleads. I shouldn't have come with her in the first place. All this partying and drinking is not my cup of tea. I took a deep breath in and relaxed. I can find a corner and sit there and as soon as the sun shows up I will be out of here. And will never come back.

Her comments abt him as owl was wonderful. He told her to stay in his room for night as he will be with someone else. She asked so many questions which irritated him. Curious to know what he was hiding from everyone. Update soon plz.
