Omg Shree420 left me in awe. It was such a unique storyline. Raj Kapoor was whatever in real life but his movies and songs were gems!I love so many B/W movies. The ones you mentioned are some of my favorites too..Shree 420, Awara, Chori Chori. Then..Madhumati, Gumnaam, Chalti ka Naam Gaadi, CID, Pyaasa, Woh kaun thi, Tere Ghar ke saamne, Chaudva ka chaand.
Not black and white..but also some techno color films by Shantaram were good. I vaguely remember them, watched a long ago.So many good films and so much variety back then! Superb songs too..even though they are a bit slow..the narration is so compelling, they keep you hooked throughout.
