Recently, reports about popular TV actor Karan Mehra aka Naitik contemplating to quit 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' was doing the rounds. Now, the latest we hear is that his co-star, Hina Khan refused to play on-screen mother-in-law at the last minute which forced the makers to change the script.
According to a report on an entertainment portal, in the original story line Naksh (Rohan Mehra) was supposed to get married to Nayantara (Umag Jain) in a grand ceremony. However, Hina Khan aka Akshara, who plays Naksha's mother refused to age at the last minute leaving the entire crew high and dry. Hina informed the production house that she is not comfortable playing a mother-in-law and also expressed her reservations about the importance given to Naksh and Tara. The report further stated that the team tried hard convincing Hina but she did not budge. Her co-star Karan Mehra also suported Hina on this. The makers had no choice but to change the story line.
