Abusive relationships in Balika vadhu.

The most abusive one is between Akheraj and Harki. Harki accepts it without a complaint, without a frown. Stockholm syndrome?

Between Basant and Gehna. Gehna even left home but returned and made peace. A small village girl from an impoverished family who sold her to dadisa.


Between Sanchi and Saurabh which is much more contemporary. Sanchi willingly went with Saurabh against all good advice and then she realised what Saurabh really was. then it was too late and she had to face consequences even when she married his elder brother. Sanchi is from a big city and from a well to do family who did not know what was happening with her. They were quite conservative with such things though.

And there was one more short lived abusive relationship between Kundan and Urmi which ended up with Urmi's untimely death.

Jagya and anandi Jagya mentally abused anandi or abuse means only rape.

it is in the grey zone. He did not want to do it but just his way of telling her off. It is another thing that she wanted to stay and suffer.

This is called love for the character he did not want to do it so what did he do when he used to call her unpad ganwar he introduced as her relative he rejected her sexual moves.
I think they are all part of expected behaviour at least in the eyes of a Jagya fan.
Yes if you say that abuse means raping some one then Jagya did not do it which all the others did.

I dont think so. I dont spare anybody. I agree what he did during that period is unacceptable and heartbreaking.

Yes, Ganga was also in an abusive relationship and she came out of it with her own efforts and some help. In turn she helped her cousin sister Sona.

With Harki, she does not know. She thinks it is the way a relationship should be. Of course she feels sad and scared when akheraj physically abuses her. Is ignorance a bliss or a curse?

When a woman is aware, she tries to come out of the situation or bids her time.

If jagya so much mentally abused poor Anandi why she is clinging to him even now he is her best friend?🤪Either accept Anandi is the most shameless woman or Jagya never really abused her 😛

Harki is one typical indian housewife . She knows that she is being abused but thinks it's normal. Many think in the same manner as harki in real life too. Whether educated or uneducated, many women suffer in abusive relationships, and the reason they bear it is for children. They doesn't want their children to be affected . They sacrifice and silently bear everything .
