I don't know about the others here... But I am really really pissed off with the storyline in the show. This show started for me on big hopes, expecting a little more than normal shows. Initially, it completely failed to grasp my attention and charm me. But still, I waited patiently. And it did give some relief as the tracks changed and the story picked up. Somewhere in between, it was working well with realistic situations and crisis.

Like, I had loved the Holi scene... The Tashan there. I had loved Sonakshi Ishwari scenes which were subtle and sharp. Sometimes ironical too.

I had loved the slight change in Dev and change in Sona's views about him.

But since that cake track, things have gone wrong for the show again. I simply fail to understand the need for Dev to struggle so much for a "Cake". He is Dev, he is a business tycoon and his running around and taking care of someone else's children might be cute but not appreciable at all. He has his own dignity, a persona, a charm. And for what is he doing it? For Sona? Why?

And that apparent Bday Party of Sona's Mother was very very pathetic. Everyone were so awkward there! Dev was so uncomfortable and so I was I in watching it. What was the need to have this scene?

Next, the 2am Message. More disappointing than the Party. Dev isn't such a man who dances on tunes. It was so OTT! There was absolutely no need to have it! His getting tensed for a " H" was unwanted and totally forced! If the CVs want him to visit her home again and again,I must say it's a very bad idea! And definitely not in such situations!

And off late, I am speechless on the Idiocracy going on... Dev cannot fall to such limits for his mom. No one will do it. Him interfering in their first meeting was natural but creating a fake profile, making someone believe that Sona has an affair or something is so cheap, crappy and bullshit!

I want to apologise for my rant here but I was so hell frustrated on the way their story is proceeding. Dev is treating Sona like a doll. And I still fail to know why isn't she retorting. Just leave the job girl!

And the recent olv WU has me fuming. They go to a party and they dance lovingly... How??

How can you even get close to someone you hate, you can't see his face, the person who destroyed your reputation and life? Annoying!

So in short, Dev's motives are meaningless. He isn't in love, he just wants her for his mom! I cannot take this explanation,its invalid.

Dear CVs, please improve your thought process and the storyline and the way you are dealing with this. Or else this show is in for a doom.

Apologies for my harsh words but I guess they deserve it.

Here is what I feel ,I think this is a typical love story ,guy meets girl they fight then they fall in love ,do unreasonable things etc etc

Dev's characterization was always like this ,he's too unreasonable when it comes to the people he loves that he ends up hurting them by imposing his definition of right eg Neha and her wedding

He was really mean to sonashi in the beginning to get her take that doc job

Now he has slowly started caring for sonaskhi he's doing the same thing with her

I do not like many of the changes in Dev's character that they have shown, but I think the cake incident was so Dev-like. He is very emotional where 'Ma' is concerned, be it his own or someone else's. So the lengths he went to was expected.

I liked the birthday scene, looked very real. I liked the effort the directors put in to present this scene and show everyone's reactions, however, subtle they were.

and if u see carefully u can see that they weren't dancing lovingly

Dev got the cake bcoz he by mistake smashed it..and it was her mother's birthday cake and for him mother is a very sentimental relationship..he had to give so much effort to arrange the cake only bcoz not much time was left and this was a special one: Sugar free cake..

he did not make any fake profile of Sonakshi..he asked his PA to make a real profile for her so that he can find a better match for her and at the same time can come out of the guilt of braking her rishtaa..

he did not tell a single bad word to the guy against her..he wanted her in Delhi bcoz he can't find a better nutritionist than her for his mother..again mother is most important to him..he can't take risk with his mother's health..

the birthday party was so real..Bengali families are very liberal..what u see awkward is not actually..

we celebrate birthday like that..12 in the night..with so much fun..

visiting her house in the night after getting a message was very nice of him..'H' what means somebody could be seeking for help and before that person could write full message the fon might be snatched or something..so he rushed to check if everything alright when nobody picked the fon..

we can't see this kind of people around us..so we r surprised..but there are people who are as good as like dev..

for party in the dance..he simply wanted to avoid Minister's daughter from dancing with him..before they ask him he took sonakshi to the dance floor..bcoz he won't able to say no to them and he knows the consequence..later minister can send rishtaa for his daughter if he dances with her..and if he says no he might be in trouble..and at the same time he wanted to thanks sonakshi for not leaving his job..

they way he was talking about sonakshi with his assistant it clearly shows that he is also attracted to her already..which he is not aware of..so his actions are completely justified..

I loved it when you said it is surprising coz we generally don't find people like dev around us..but then yes somewhere they do exist may be less in numbers 😉
I am not finding anything weird and fake in it..what I see is that every person has flaws here Dev too has..he makes mistakes but then he has a soft and caring side also which attracts sona more than his rude one..I don't know why in this post it is said that sona doesn't rebel when anything wrong happens 😕 coz we see how boldly she scolds Dev(her boss Ofcourse)..and dev genuinely asks sorry to her and corrects his mistake ..when he spoiled cake,he got new one for her mother..when he made her wait he make sure she reaches her home safe and asks sorry too other day..

I guess you didn't noticed Dev's school teacher admitted that dev was alwaz an angry child..so that he is in young too..but he isn't insensitive..yes he realize his mistakes later but then its coz his world revolves only around caring and protecting his family and doing his work..so he sometimes get rude and hurt others and when he speaks less he doesn't express himself more so he just try to mend his mistakes in his own way.. 😳
I find him very genuine and realistic not typical like angry young man or too lovey dovey..he has a balance of both..and when you are pointing towards his class just for cake incident then you need to check again..coz dear it was his genuine effort for someone's mom and it was needed till 12am..and I think landing at someone's house just for H thinking they need help was damn sweet 😳 and he landed only when no one picked the phone..don't forget she is his mother's personal nutritionist..he needs her for his mom so he cares for sona..sometimes going out of the way..

I love him so so much..and loved them today most..
I must say today was the best episode 😃

I kinda disagree with your opinions

I think Sona and Dev's story is different from most shows where there is love at first sight and attraction within 2-3 episodes-not all shows but the typical basic ones. Here it seems to be a slow burn reaction where they're first getting to kind of being comfortable in each other's company first.

i think Dev getting Sona's mother a cake was completely acceptable as he ruined Sona's mom's birthcake. Unintentionally but he clearly realised that it was important. So I guess getting another cake totally makes sense. I think it was genuinely a humble gesture.

the everyone being awkward at the party I thought was absolutely realistic. In real life if someone is at your birthday who you don't know so well you usually don't know what to say to them or how to respond. I'm glad it wasn't a clich scene where everyone is comfortable with each other at first meeting. To me it was realistic.

the 2am message-also a realistic scene. If someone messages you something unusual at the middle of the night you find it unusual and peculiar. So the normal thing you usually do is ring them or text them whether the text message was a mistake or something. And clearly Sona's phone died which raises more concern. So yeah he may have jumped to a very big conclusion that Sona's text message may have said help. But people see every situation differently and he obviously thought she was in some sort of trouble.

When you first meet a person you don't always automatically click. As you don't know them. So the awkwardness and misunderstanding I think is justified. Humans are usually quick to respond irrationally and judge before getting to completely understand a person which I think sona and Dev are at the stage at the moment.

However I do agree that some aspects are confusing. Such as the party scene today. I think someone inviting you ti their award function especially if they're your employee is a little out of the zone. Most people would decline. As it's awkward for an employee to visit a function with your boss and his mother. As they say-don't mix personal and business.

I'm not saying your opinions are wrong, you're absolutely entitled to your opinions on the show and these are mine

hey I too think the same. The CVs appear to be confused. And even if the story line is a bit shallow I guess it also depends on the actors, how they pull off the show. I feel Shaheer has a stony and an uncomfortable expression all the time, like he is out of place. He appears so disjointed from the scenes.

But I guess he is still better in the scenes with Supriya Pilgaonkar (his mom) but the rest are just major turn off. He lacks any expression in his eyes.

And I do not mean to over criticise but he has done a lot more better jobs previously (eg. playing Arjun in Mahabharat)

All i can say is the supporting cast is way better than the leads! (though they just "look" nice together)

PS - I do watch the show online hoping for some improvement ! :p

Actually , everything was going fine. I liked the party, cake scene , finding teacher for sister, holi incident and the rest.
But going intentionally to the restaurant to break her ristha... not acceptable. Yes he did not say a word against her but his intentions were bad. Finding a groom for her was also bad. None of his business that! Frankly it really put me off.
His only saving grace is , I think he is hiding behind his mums need. He doesnt realise it but he was actually feeling possessive.
But never mind Dev. Dr Sonakshi should not even be talking to him ... She dances with him?
Something seriously wrong .
