Gauri is Vishwaveer's and Madhuri's child. Vishwaveer was married to Manjari first, but as she could not give birth to a child, she had him marry her younger sister Madhuri who could beget him a heir.

When Gauri was born, she fell very ill. Vishwaveer and his family took her to their kuldevi to get some curse cured. Just when a poor family crossed the main door of the mandir and prayed to the goddess for their daughter, Gauri got cured. The Purohit noticed this was because of that other baby girl who somehow protected Gauri. When Gauri falls sick again after reaching home, Vishwaveer goes in search of the baby that saved his girl. He finds her dug under earth and takes her home to cure his princess (Cue: Sita Maiya also comes from Bhoomi Mata and Janak finds her). Later, even in the naming ceremony, there is some harm that befalls on Gauri.

The other baby girl has been thrown in some deserted road trashcan by that evil Taiji. Manjari goes and gets her back and they name her Kali aka Gauri's Kaala Teeka. In their childhood the kids are all in one team and work to get Vishwaveer and Manjri closer (because he always mistreats her). But Kali is heavily mistreated by her Badke Papa and Taiji and she is being followed by Taiji's hired goons where she finds a boy dressed as Ramji who protects her from them. She meets this Ramji again when Taiji has hung her head-down from a tree and he gets her free. They even perform on stage later when Kali proclaims, "Why should Sita give agnipariksha if everyone knows she is pure? Sita will not give any agnipariksha."

After Taiji's failed attempts to harm or kill Kali, Manjari falls in her trap. Taiji bangs her head against the wall and pins the blame on Kali for murdering the only adult in the house who valued her as a human being. Vishwaveer goes to jail for 14 years because he needs Gauri to be safe and that is only possible if Kali stays with her.

After 14 years, we see that Gauri has turned into a self conscious brat. She does care about Kali, but disregards her as anything but a bonded personal assistant. Kali has grown up to be somber and docile, (she was really inquisitive as a child and wanted answers as to why she was treated differently) and accepts punishment even for crimes she did not commit. She has forgotten that she is a human as everyone reminds her that the only reason for her existence is to protect Gauri. Meanwhile, we realize that Manjri is actually alive and has lost her memory. She saved Ramji (Yug) on the day that sh barely escaped the murder attempt and so she now lives with his family as Pishimaa. She is however not treated right by Dadi or the Chachi. Yug has grown up to be someone who respects traditions but is not obsessed with them, he does not believe in superstitions and holds his ground.

Gauri wants to win at everything. And so Kali writes her papers, wins competitions and medals on behalf of her and fulfills everything Gauri wants at her bequest. Gauri enters a singing competition and since she cannot sing she needs Kali to go on stage. Yug arrives, chasing a goon, just when they are in this dilemma and accidentally knocks over gulaal on Kali's face. Hence, now that it is not clear who the person is, Kali is pushed onto the stage by Gauri and she sings her heart out. Yug is still chasing the goon in the college premises and he stops when he hears Kali's rendition to Ramji. He is immediately drawn towards the innocence and purity in her voice. He starts to advance towards the stage.

On the other hand, once Kali is done singing, Gauri turns off the light, and goes on stage to receive appreciation. She ends up winning the 'Voice of Mithila' award. Yug is in love with the voice and he starts to look for her. After an unsuccessful attempt, he finds out the contestants name and he announces on radio that he wants to meet Gauri Jha. Kali is praying to Ramji to help her take Gauri back home and Yug decides to help her because Pishimaa would want him to do so. After they 'kidnap' Gauri and safely accompany her home, Gauri thinks someone was trying to catch her and Kali and makes them run away. Yug comes back and exclaims, "No Thank You? So strange."

Gauri has an older cousin Neelu Bhaiya who is supposed to be the invigilator for their exam and so Kali goes to appear on the exam on behalf of Gauri. But there is a last moment change and Sharmila (who is coincidently Yug's cousin) is scheduled to be monitoring their exams and she realizes that Kali is not Gauri. When she states she will complain to the principal, in an attempt to protect his sister (moreso himself because his mother has threatened him dire consequences if Gauri's demands are not met) he ends up kissing her. The Principal witnesses this and tells off Sharmila. After another incident where Neelu Bhaiya apologizes and explains the whole situation to her, the Principal complains at her house and she has to face humiliation in form of a shuddhikaran. Dadi refuses to let her go to college. She vows to take revenge.

Yug and Kali keep bumping into each other whenever he wants to meet the girl he is looking for. One encounter was at the temple where Yug's Dadi insults Kali as being a low caste girl and Yug explains how in Ramji's Raj that does not matter at all. They also argue about which side Sita is to Ram (she is usually on his right, but on his left in vanvaas). He hears her singing when he goes to some office and she barely manages to escape before he catches her. They meet in the temple again when Badke Papa gives her the challenge of filling 100 matkas of water and washing the stairs or Gauri's fate will be affected. He breaks the matkas with a stick and asks her not to believe in superstitions. Kali hears Majri Maa speaking and tries to follow her but no avail. Pishimaa scolds Yug for telling off someone for their beliefs. The next day she makes Yug go to the temple in a yellow jacket and donate bananas to the beggars because his Dadi wanted him to do this to make his kundali better or something. Kali taunts him for being hypocritical and then following traditions himself.

Yug organizes an event so that he gets to meet Gauri. Gauri and Kali arrive, but Sharmila tears off Gauri's participation voucher and asks her to leave. Kali sees that the truck unloaders have left Sita Maiya on the ground so she takes the idol inside. The security guys presume her to be a volunteer so she is allowed to enter while Gauri is sulking and fighting for an entry outside. Yug is in preparations and he and his friends realize Sita is missing. When Kali enters with Sita Maiya, Yug's friend exclaims, "See, Sita is here now." When Yug asks Kali to place Sita next to Ram, flowers fall on them and his friend says, "Now finally Sita and Ram have met." All of this is foreshadowing on the fact that Kali is Sita and Yug is her Ramji from her childhood. Gauri is angry and sends goons to destroy the event. Yug protects Kali who is saving the idols from being broken ruthlessly and she helps him to reconstruct the event. He asks her for her friendship and she runs back home without replying.

At home, Kali is mistreated and put into bondage just because she left Gauri and helped Yug out. Kali knows what she did is right and asks Manjri Maa why she left her alone like this. She thinks about Yug and is secretly glad that someone wanted to be associated with her and treated her like a human after a long time. Yug is upset to hear Gauri did not turn up and tries to convince the producers to audition her and make an album with her. Gauri takes Kali along with her and they manage to keep their secret hidden by Kali turning off the mike in Gauri's recording studio and turning on the mic in an empty studio where she sings.

She is discovered by Yug and he gives her the flowers he got for Gauri. The watchman clears his confusion and Kali runs away before she is questioned further. Kali and Yug meet again when he goes to her college to look for Gauri and he claims she is in love with him. When questioned why she went to the studio she says it was for the college function. He appreciates her. Later, He also calls her for a coffee treat after which they escape by putting on an act of how lucky Kali is because he doesn't have money. Yug explains to her how even in his childhood there was a girl he met who reminds him of Kali. Kali realizes this is her Ramji.

That night, Kali goes to the Temple and the Panditji asks her to sing and so she sings. Yug comes there to give some food to the people in the temple and he heard her sing. He went into the temple in search of the person who owns that voice but Kali somehow saw him and hid inside the room where the Ram-Seeta idols are kept. When she reached out through the curtain to check whether Yug has left, he caught hold of her hand and asked her to come out. But, Kali set fire to curtain which spread everywhere and then she somehow escaped through a window. When Yug came inside to save her, he found only a piece of her charred dupatta. And the next day, while he is in search of Gauri, Kali and Yug meet. He clashes into her, tomatoes get smashed but he gets Gauri's number somehow and considers Kali lucky for him and says " I Love You" in a casual and friendly manner.When he calls Gauri claiming that he is a fan, she simply insults him and cuts the call.

Vishwaveer is trying to get Gauri and Yug's rishta done because Yug can take care of the dosh in Gauri's kundali. He asks Gauri to put haldi prints on the stuff which is done by Kali when she accidentally puts her hand in the haldi bowl. He is sent back from Yug's house by his Dadi who says she cannot marry her grandson off to a murderer's daughter. Thankfully, Manjri does not come in front of Vishwaveer. Kali is happy yet somewhat disheartened to see Gauri hate Yug so much that she tears his photo. Yug finds the cloth that got left behind and talks to Pishimaa about how he is desperately looking for the voice that sung the same song that Pishimaa sings.

Currently there is a pooja track where the Dadi tries to get some pooja done and Vishwaveer makes sure that the most necessary ingredient cannot be found in town and then he will go and have that given to them by the hands of his princess. They have no reason to reject her now. But since both Yug and Gauri are missing, the Dadi pins the blame on Vishwaveer and takes police to his house.

Gauri and Kali are on a bus to Patna to take part in another competition. On the other hand, Yug goes towards Patna to save Sharmila's friend who is forcibly having to marry without consent before the pooja. Gauri sends Kali to get water and she gets left behind. Yug finds her, finally asks her name and takes her help in saving the girl. In the process, Kali gets to dress up in colors and Yug admires her beauty. Their unsaid friendship is becoming very strong. After they safely leave the girl with her boyfriend, there are goons that chase them. Yug takes off his shoes because Kali is barefoot. They have a tuffle on which way to go and encounter the goons again. Yug gets injured and Kali somehow takes him to a temple where she sings to Ramji to make him better. An unconscious Yug hears this and confronts her the next day which she denies by swearing she is not Gauri. He buys her footwear, advises her to wear colors because she looks pretty in them and gives her colorful bangles.

Gauri is tricked by two employees and drugged and trapped in the car. When Kali asks for Gauri, they tie her up with Gauri in the backside of the car. Kali saves herself and Gauri and gets to the bus depot where they are followed by these men. There Yug comes and fights them off and accompanies them on the bus. They all reach home where they are reprimanded by their families. Gauri is thankful Gauri saved her but she wants to perform at a college event fashion show and so drags Kali along with her. Gauri meets and taunts Sharmila who humiliates Neelu Bhaiya by getting him drunk and making him dance with ghungrus. He becomes really upset and almost crashes against a car which belongs to Badke Papa who takes him home and brainwashes him.

On the other hand, Yug sees Kali and hugs her when she promises that she will help him meet Gauri for sure. He dresses up and comes awaiting her ascent. The happiness is short lived when someone drops juice on Gauri's dress and she decides to go back home. A dismayed Kali carries this news to Yug who also gets visibly upset with her. Kali is cutting vegetables at home when she cuts her finger and feels guilty about not fulfilling her said promise. Yug tells Pishimaa he is worried how something happened to Kali. Yug wonders why he is thinking about Kali so much while Gauri tells Kali she will surely meet Yug the next morning. Kali sends him a message and asks Yug to meet Gauri at Cafe Chocopik.

Kali convinces Gauri to meet Yug. They go to Chocopik and Gauri shows off to everyone that she has a fan. They see Neelu Bhaiya dragging Sharmila somewhere in absolute rage and go to save her. Gauri's foot gets stuck in the door but she asks Kali to go. Neelu Bhaiya is molesting Sharmila in a room. He has lost all senses because of the brainwashing and he actually goes to the extent of taking off her dupatta and crushing it with his foot. Kali manages to come on time and save Sharmila from being raped. She gives Neelu Bhaiya a tight slap and makes him understand what a beast he had become. Sharmila runs downstairs and finds Yug, who sees her state and assumes the obvious. He decides he is not going to spare Neelu, finds him and beats him up. Just when he is going to pick up a metal rod and smash it on Neelu Bhaiya's head, Kali comes and protects her brother. Yug is highly depressed to learn that he is her brother and she wishes to save him. He tells her off and says he had thought she was on the right path but she dissapointed his belief in her. She proved her loyalty to her blood (he has no idea that Neelu isnt her blood relative at all). If her brother is a rapist, her own thoughts will be pathetic.

Neelu is taken home where everyone sympathizes with him but Kali voices her concerns and opinions in the open for the first time. Everyone is shocked to see her do that. On the other hand, Sharmila's mom humiliates her and tells Yug n Pishimaa not to reveal this in front of Dadi at any costs or taking action and dragging the issue to court unnecessarily because the family name will be tarnished. Neelu Bhaiya asks Kali for forgiveness but she refuses to show him mercy unless he gets forgiveness from Sharmila. They go to the police station, but all in vain. Taiji has already managed to get him an anticipatory bail in advance. Yug comes there to file a report, thinks he might have thought wrong about Kali and then gets angry to see that Neelu is not going to be jailed. He vows to get his sister justice. Some people are taunting Gauri and Kali comes there and tries to teach them sense, but they insult her and call her Gauri's servant. Gauri acknowledges Kali as her sister. Yug is looking for witnesses to represent Sharmila and put Neelu behind bars. When Kali volunteers, he makes his lack of respect in her vocal and states that she will not compromise her family's standards and support Sharmila.

Dadi gets a letter and ring back stating that they are breaking the relationship. Her mom accidentally mentions this is because Sharmila's self respect has been compromised. The whole family finds out about the sexual molestation and Dadi beats Sharmila and then restricts her from stepping out of the house ever again. Vishwa comes there with Neelu's rishta and Dadi rejects that proposal, but Vishwa also gives her 'supposedly' Gauri's kundali and asks her to take a look at it before disapproving of the match. He tells Purohitji how he has given Kali's blemish free kundali so that this jodi can be made.

Dadi gets the kundali checked and gets happy when Panditji says this the best match for Yug. She is willing to compromise Sharmila's future if it can bring good luck and fortune in the house. Yug tries to reason out and says he will make sure Neelu repents and serves the 7 year jail term. Kali asks Neelu to apologize to Sharmila in the college. They find her and Kali slaps and stops college students from making a joke of her situation. When they try slapping Kali, Neelu stops them and makes them leave. He then sincerely apologizes to Sharmila but she is obviously not in a state to listen. Kali reminds Neelu that he cannot repent unless he gets Sharmila's forgiveness. Yug witnesses this from far away.

Dadi slaps Sharmila and tells her she has to marry Neelu. Sharmila disapproves of this notion and runs away to her room to think where she is convinced by her mother that this is her chance to take revenge on him and Dadi, she finally agrees to the marriage. Dadi explains to Yug how the family name is at stake because of whomsoever's actions. She announces that Yug too has to get married to the daughter of the Jha family to make sure that Sharmila is not mistreated in that house. Yug is still not ready to accept this decision, but Dadi emotionally blackmails him by trying to burn herself. Vishwa is happy to hear the rishta has been made.

Gauri refuses to accept this bargain and throws the sweets that Vishwa wants to distribute. She tells him not to emotionally blackmail her. Vishwa gives Kali the responsibility to convince her to agree to the marriage. Yug does not know why he is being made to marry Kali whom he treated as his best friend but she turned out to be bad. He is upset he can never meet the girl of his dreams now. He takes out his frustration by cutting a block of wood and injures himself when a piece flies out and hits his head. His father convinces him he will make sure Yug gets his love and Yug unintentionally insults him. On the other hand, Kali meets a kid dressed as Shivji who shows her the way. She gets hurt when she is praying when a piece of cocunut hits her head at the same moment as Yug. She forces her feelings down and says that he likes Gauri, not her. Her resolve is made stronger when she hears Dadi talk negatively about Yug's supposed dream girl's caste and family background. Manjhi Maa almost sees her. Yug gets annoyed by his ringtone and cries his heart put to Pishimaa.

Kali convinces Gauri to meet Yug and then decide what to do. She tells her how if she always likes what Kali chooses for her, how can she just merely reject Yug on basis of Taiji's words? She compliments Yug and Gauri asks her why she doesn't marry him if he is so nice? Kali decides she is going to unite Yug and Gauri. She takes a vow not to sing anymore and not let Yug ever find out she was the secret singer. Yug is confused about Kali's character and feels she is hiding something. He says he will give up on his chase for his voice soulmate.

Neelu writes a letter to Sharmila assuring her he will keep her happy. But she is still really mad at him. Sharmila is upset that Yug is being compelled to marry Gauri (because she is aware of Gauri being Neelu's sister). Yug tells her nothing matters more than her happiness and he is ready to sacrifice his life for her sake.

She decides to test Yug by putting Kali in front of a moving car with a rope attached. The rope gets cut and Yug somehow manages to save Kali from the catastrophe. He passes the test in Gauri's eyes but she cannot face his wrath. Yug tells Kali that she is really manipulative and he is now stuck with her for life. He insults her and she apologizes. She reveals to him that he is getting married not to her, but Badke Papa's Princess, to his dream girl. She is not Vishwaveer Jha's daughter. He questions her about her identity and she ignores his advances. Somehow Yug is not happy knowing that and has a dilemma about Kali's identity. He tells this to Pishimaa. She asks him to clarify from Gauri herself.

Gauri is really impressed with Yug. She expresses interest in him to Kali and agrees to marry him. Badke Papa tells Kali he is trusting her on this. Gauri goes to meet Yug and takes Kali along. Its awkwardness galore when Kali realizes she might be third wheeling and steps aside. Yug asks why Kali hid the truth from him and Gauri covers up for her. Yug tells Gauri about his thoughts on the marriage and they talk about how he and Kali have common interests such as liking tea when he is getting hitched with Gauri. The waiter accidentally drops hot tea on Yug and Kali seems concerned. He subconsciously replies only to her.

Gauri agrees to reveal the truth to Yug about the voice. Gauri says that this has occurred not because of Vishwa's liking but because of Neelu's mistake and because he has a misunderstanding about Kali's voice. Gauri tells Kali to make Yug break Vishwa's ego only that test will make her agree to him completely. Kali is in a dilemma. Kali and Manjari go to the same temple. Kali leaves a note there that is answered by Manjari. Yug and family (except Manjari) head to Gauri's house. Vishwa and family welcome them into the house. They introduce themselves and Chulbuli Chachi and Madhuri have a fun tussle. Badke Papa says he thinks he did a mistake by trusting Kali.

Yug goes and helps out Kali. He subtly taunts and asks her is there anything else she is hiding that he needs to know before that is revealed to him in the wrong circumstances? She is too shocked to answer. Gauri is presented to the family and Kali makes her touch the feet of the elders. Yug flashes a smile at Kali. Dadi insists Kali changes her clothes and wears colourful attire. Vishwa introduces Kali in a subtly demeaning manner. Yug is happy to see Kali in pink. He compliments her. She goes and assists him and then he helps her sort her duppata. He is somewhat taken aback with her beauty. Gauri tries telling Kali to talk to Yug about the test and falls on Yug,who calls out Kali's name and Gauri corrects him. Vishwa starts the Shivji pooja and Kali sees there is a butterfly that will get killed so she places her hand. As her hand is getting crushed, Yug lifts the shivling, saves her hand from getting paralyzed and then reprimands Vishwa for his andhvishwaas.

Gauri refuses to reveal the truth to Yug right now. She says she might when she feels comfortable doing so. Kali gets skeptical. She agrees to the wedding formally. They perform the pooja together but his eyes are on Kali. She prays she does not become an impediment in the marriage. Yug is conflicted about Gauri's voice and personality. Vishwa is happy and showers love on Kali and she gets happy. Kali threatens Taiji she will win in showcasing her reality someday. Kali makes Gauri dress up in Indian wear and asks her to tell her the truth. Yug and Gauri meet up and he finds her interests absolutely dont match his image of her. He asks her to sing which she avoids and this plants a seed of doubt in his mind that keeps bothering him even later. An annoyed Gauri comes back and unintentionally hurts Kali's sentiments too.

Someone tells Dadi that the kundali is not Kali's. She decides to investigate and goes to the Jha house. Kali saves Gauri from the mishap by having the Panditji see her hand instead of Gauri's and Dadi makes her wear the family bangle. Vishwa thanks her for her help, blesses her happiness and later takes the bangle off and scrapes the Kaala Teeka written on her hand. She requests Badke Papa to tell Dadi the truth which Vishwa agrees to do. Manjhi Maa is not well and so cannot attend Yug's sagai. She asks him to be happy and express himself freely. She asks him to call Gauri and clarify.

Kali tries to make Gauri reveal her truth on call but she refuses to do so. Yug calls and talks about his apprehensions. Vishwa requests Dadi to let Kali be a part of the functions and that she has devised that there could be problems in YuRi's marital life and there is a pooja that should be conducted to deal with the same. Dadi agrees. Everyone gathers for the engagement and show happiness. Kali reminds Gauri to tell the truth. Madhuri and Chulbuli again have a funny tussle. Pishimaa blesses Yug and asks him to have her meet Gauri. He encounters Kali on the way and they have a moment. He says he needs to talk to Gauri. Kali apologizes to Dadi about the past. Everyone celebrates, and Yug approaches her and calls her Kali. Then Gauri is asked to sing by Yug. Kali sings from upstairs and Yug catches her. He gets really enraged at her and confronts her about why she played with his feelings.

Kali explains to him why he has to continue on the engagement because she was never the reason for the marriage but his family was the core reason. He tells her not to take the blame alone, but says he cannot forgive her. Kali explains a part of her story and tries convincing him. Neelu and Sharmila get engaged. Even Yug grudgingly gets engaged to Gauri. He takes her to show his room and tells her that he is aware of her deceit. Manjari again misses seeing her family. Gauri thinks Kali told him and then pretends to commit suicide to make Kali promise she will get Yug's forgiveness for her sake. Yug reveals everything to Pishimaa who tells him he has to compromise at some point. Kali calls Yug but he does not pick up. Then she attempts to say Sorry by writing on a car. When that doesnt work, she physically asks for forgiveness through sign language. Yug ignores her attempts till she is at a fainting condition and he stops her from falling and he kind of gives in. Taiji almost sees Manjari but recognizes her voice.

Kali finds a photo of Manjhi Maa's hand and bangle and realizes maybe she is alive. She goes to the temple and inquires but has a failed attempt to do so. Dadi gets some good news and decides what Taiji said in the temple was not true. Yug decides to forgive Kali after staring at the Sorry on the car. Pishimaa tells him the importance of friendship and to let go as she has fulfilled her part.

Kali tells Gauri that she will sort out everything. Sharmila vows to teach the brother-sister duo a good lesson because they put her n Yug's life on stake. Vishwa asks Kali to call Yug's house and ask Dadi whether she knows the truth but Manjari picks up and Kali gets super happy and calls her by her name. But Manjhi Maa does not recognize her. Chulbuli cuts the call. Kali cant get through again. She goes to their house to check and damages the rangoli which Dadi insults her for. When Kali asks again, she is told Chulbuli picked up the call. She leaves from there. Yug sees two children fighting and how their friendship gets sorted and says he will forgive Kali for sure. Kali almost dashes into his car and he ensures she is not hurt then alleviates her fears by telling her he forgave her. She decides not to talk about Manjhi Maa with Yug. She goes home and tells this to Gauri and they both get happy.

Vishwa scolds Kali but Gauri covers up for her by saying that she went there to do her work, to explain stuff to Yug. He asks them to be careful and not bring about any misunderstanding between them. Taiji goes to Yug's place and is shocked out of her wits to see Manjari alive. Chulbuli tells her the whole story of Mughda. She somehow gets Vishwa out before he can meet Manjari and decides she needs to do something before Manjari can reveal her reality. Yug takes flowers and apologizes for his reaction. He puts forward a hand of friendship on honesty. He notices Kali is tensed. They go to the kitchen to prepare coffee and have some sweet moments while Gauri is busy on the phone with her friend. Yug mentions about Pishimaa and how similar Kali and her are. Gauri hints her to leave and Yug gets uncomfortable. later Yug gives her a chocolate and tells her he is more comfortable with her than Gauri. They discuss about plants and Kali gifts one to Pishimaa. He thanks her and tells her she is mistreated in her house.

Pishimaa finds a note from Manjari and decides to inquire from Kali about the same. Gauri asks Kali about Yug and tells her that he is lost when she talks to him. Kali tells her they both need to compromise. When Manjhi Maa calls, Taiji picks up and calls her to a secluded place. Kali is worried because the call was meant for her and Taiji leaves in a hurry. She calls Yug and asks him to send a pic of Pishimaa. Yug mentions that Pishimaa has had a memory loss 14 years back and had saved his life so her dad made her his sister and she now she stays in their house. She realizes that Manjhi Maa is Yug's Pishimaa and resolves to save her life from Taiji's clutches. Not again could she lose her. Kali calls Yug again and asks him to contact Pishimaa asap because her life is in danger. Kali asks Ramji to be on the side of the truth. Yug cannot get in contact with her. Kali hurries to the forest.

Pishimaa is waiting for Kali and wonders if Kali wanted to tell her something by sending her the letter. Kalyani Taiji traps and taunts Pishimaa, reminds her of the past and refers to her as Manjari. Kali almost reaches but is not able to find them. A billboard of Ramji encourages her and shows her the way. Yug keeps calling up Manjhi Maa's phone but cannot get through because she left it outside the car. Pishimaa tells her she remembers nothing but justice will be served. Kali finds the phone and picks up and tells Yug of the whereabouts. She decides not to scream because that will alert Taiji.

Taiji drags her to a faraway place. She puts a knife on Manjhi Maa's neck. Kali takes a rock and throws it tworads Taiji's head. She catches Manjhi Maa and is beyond happy to see her alive. She introduces herslef again and tries to get her to recall her. She still cannot remember anything. Taiji hits her on the head with a stick and forces her into a pit and tries to bury her alive. Pishimaa gets up and hears Kali screaming. She has a headache and regains all of her memory. She screams out Kali's name, then threatens Kalyani Taiji. She picks up the stick and hits her so she is set aside, then unearths the earth and gets Kali out. They have a tearful reuinion. They both catch the stick when Taiji attempts to hit them with it and then beat her up good for destroying their lives. Before she can retaliate, Yug comes there.

Dadi insults Manjhi and Yug's Dad back answers for the same. Yug tends to Kali's wound. Manjhi Maa is secretly reassured for Kali looking at Yug's concern. Kali tells Yug that her Manjhi Maa is his Pishimaa. He tries to lighten up the mood. They wonder how she never met Manjhi Maa. Manjhi Maa tells Kali her story, and him the whole truth of Kali being Gauri's Kaala Teeka and then Kali notifies them of the whole truth of what conspired in all those years. She gains new respect in his eyes. He asks her if she still considers herself Gauri's Kaala Teeka. Manjhi Maa asks her to live with her. Kali tells them she cannot leave her family. She is going to make Vishwa understand that she is not some Kaala Teeka. She needs to reveal the entire Taiji truth to Vishwa. Yug and Pishimaa try to explain to her how unethically the family has treated her but she tries to convince Manjhi Maa to come home. Manjhi Maa refuses to accept Acharyaji as her husband and agrees to come home only if Kali does get the respect she deserves. They drop her back home and Yug tells Manjhi Maa she need not worry because he is there with Kali in this fight now. Manjhi Maa says if Kali's faith breaks, she will give up her trust on the word 'family'. Taiji tells Purohitji that Manjari is alive and he fills Vishwa's mind with poison against Kali.

Gauri tells Vishwa that Kali called Yug before leaving. Vishwa thinks Kali knows he did not reveal the truth to Dadi and gets insecure. He questions her and accidentally blurts out the truth which she says she did not know about. He says he cannot sabotage his daughter's future for her sake and she also should not do so. She tries to tell him how unethical it is to start his daughter's relationship off on a lie. Yug symphathizes with Kali and thinks about how she will find her own identity. Gauri calls him and he tries to keep patience but is turned off with her childishness. Gauri wonders why he is not calling and that Kali did not help him understand anything properly. Kali feels weak but cannot call up and goes to Yug's house where Yug and Manjhi Maa see her and reassure her with their presence. She tells them what Badke Papa is doing and says how she wants to win them over with love.

Manjhi Maa and Yug try to explain to her that her efforts are going to go in vain. She takes a promise from Kali that if she cannot achieve her goal, she has come away with her. Kali agrees then explains Yug of her plan. Accordingly, he calls Gauri to meet alone and Vishwa sends her with a rakshakavach mauli. Yug gifts Kali a phone and tells her she can talk to them directly instead of having to panic and turn up outside the house in the middle of the night.

Vishwa tells Gauri that Dadi has called her to see jewels. Yug messages Kali when he is successful. They have a nice to and back till he mentions he will miss her around and she says its a bad habit he should get rid of. Yug gets disturbed. Pishimaa notices how he is willing to put his life on line for Kali's sake. Yug takes Gauri to his house. Dadi compliments her beauty and says she should dress better to look better and she insults their family jewels. Manjari sees Gauri after a lot of years and gets emotional but Gauri does not recognize her. Dadi introduces her as the housekeeper. Manjhi Maa tries to protect her but in vain. She mentions to Kali on the phone that she wanted to hug Gauri and hears Vishwa call Madhuri Manjari by mistake.

They head towards the date and Dadi insists Sharmila and Neelu should go with them too. Gauri is talking about makeup while Yug is lost in looking at Kali's picture in his phone. Vishwa recieves the real kavach and realizes that the one Gauri has is fake and she is not safe. Turns out this was part of Kali's plan. YuRi dont pick up his call. Gauri forces Yug to do a couple dance with her and he imagines Kali with him. Sharmila is upset and makes it vocal how Neelu and Gauri's actions have lead to even Yug and her being punished. Neelu claims he is guilty and Sharmila asks him to put his hand on the candle. He does that. Sharmila gets shellshocked, screams at him to take his hand off and then calls Yug to stop him. Gauri taunts him while Kali comes all the way from home and tends to Neelu's hand in the car. Yug gets distracted seeing her and they almost have an accident. Vishwa is now more sure that this occured because Kali didnt go with Gauri and she supports him on the same. Yug gets angry too.

Yug calls Kali to meet. He expresses how he is not happy that Gauri too believes in these things. He gifts Kali a peach dress as a birthday gift (she was reborn after being saved from near death) and asks her to wear it. He tells her that she has the right to dress in colours and be happy too. He asks her if she plans to be his slave all her life and how he is blinded by superstition. She refuses saying that this would be disrespect to Badke Papa whose trust she has sworn to win. She wants the right to be called his daughter too. Yug calls her stubborn and asks her not to make him angry because then he will not support her. Manjhi Maa says Yug does not mean that. They discuss about what Taiji can do to take revenge. She asks Kali to be careful.

Taiji calls up Purohitji with a plan. Kali overhears Badke Papa insulting her and makes a stronger resolve to be able to make herself so sufficient that he will have to accept her as his daughter. Yug's car has some issue Yug tries to resolve and gets covered with soot. He has an animated conversation with Kali. Gauri finds out that Kali has a phone and she lies that she got it after redeeming points at the ration shop. Gauri asks her to accompany her.

Dadi is singing a song and Chulbuli compliments her. Sharmila is unable to cook and Dadi taunts her for the same. Sharmila says that Gauri wont even ask her for tea. She already insulted everyone enough even without entering the house. Gauri enters and tells her that she stated her honest opinion on the jewels and Kali has taught her how to make rotis. She can teach Sharmila too if she likes. Dadi stops them from fighting. Gauri says that her friends wish to meet Yug. Yug is hesitant to come but still agrees. He tries dissuading her from taking Kali with them but Gauri comes up with a quick excuse to make sure she has to.

Gauri is upset because Yug is not paying attention to her. Her parents get her marriage chunri and try to put it on her head, but Kali comes on time and throws it aside. When they get angry at her, she shows that it had a scorpion on it and Gauri's life would have been in jeopardy if she did not do so. They all thank her for being a good Kaala Teeka. But Kali says she did this not because of that but because she loves the family as her own. She tells Vishwa she will protect Gauri as a sister and would like to undertake the rituals in the marriage as a sister. Kali decides she will get her right as the daughter of the house. She will prove that nothing matters over love.

Kali pacifies Gauri, and convinces her that Yug is happy with the marriage. Gauri says she knows that there is something bothering him and that his chemistry with her is better. She undermines herself. Kali has her understand they need to give time to the relationship. Purohit and Taiji decide to plan something big. Vishwa decides to get Yug and Gauri together. Madhuri suggests black magic. He agrees. Kali suspects that they are hiding something. Dadi tells Yug he has to go for dinner to Jha place while Neelu comes to their place. Kali tells Manjhi Maa about Taiji's devious plans. She inquires about Acharyaji. She gives her strength and asks Kali to convince Yug for the dinner.

Yug is amused when Kali turns up to convince him for dinner. Kali kidnaps Yug and takes him home when he says he has some important work to attend to. She teases him. He asks her how she drives so well and then tells her she needs to stop hiding her own identity.

Neelu goes for dinner and Sharmila is obviously not happy. She adds spices to the food, and burns his hand to make him cringe but he accepts the burn and eats it all without reacting or commenting.She goes to leave him to the door and tells him if he learned to accept insult better before he would not have destroyed 4 lives like that. He tells her she is not destroying his life, he is waiting for a new start.

Everyone is waiting for Yug and he turns up. Kali gets mango ice cream for all of them and notices that there is something wrong going on or there would not be so many candles. Gauri tells him Kali made the ice cream and the light goes off.
