Viji 😳
This is one beautifully written drabble. How I wish this would have happened in show. You have put Swara's thoughts beautifully in words. I loved her and Shomi here. This piece of writing is definitely everyone's wishful thinking. I detest Shekhar and dadi very much. They are the perfect example how a family shouldn't be. That spineless jerk never asked Ragini to leave everything and come back home when she by deceit got SwaSan divorced. Such a two faced man. and that daadi... she disgusts me. I would have really loved Shomi to stand up against them like she did here in your story. She already did that before during SwaSan initial days but currently writers have made her merely a prop. That small pinch of SwaSan romance was treat to read. Can imagine Sanskaar saying such thing 😆 and ofcourse my favourite part where Swara decided to go with Sanskaar.
You're an amazing writer Viji. I can't wait to read more of your stories. The level of your writing is that of published writers. I will soon be back with my comment on your other stoires as soon as my time permits.

Take care

Hey Aavya 🤗 🤗

Thanks so much for all those lovely words about my writing. I felt really touched and blessed to read your most motivating feedback. 🤗

I wanted to portray Shomi as the strong, resolute character she was originally shown to be. I felt she would definitely stand up to Shekar and Dadi, to ensure that Swara's happiness was not trod upon for no fault of her own.

And Swara and Sanskaar too, I really thought, needed to politely but firmly put their point across to Shekar. They hadn't done anything wrong, hadn't played any role in Lakshya's plot against Ragini (nor in Ragini's earlier machiavellian manipulations). So there was no reason they should be blamed or punished by being separated.

I agree with you: Shekar is a completely spineless character, with hardly any judgement or perspective . He never really intervened when Ragini and Dadi were indulging in all sorts of despicable ploys against the Maheshwaris (and against Swara). But he was quick to react when he saw Ragini being victimised. No doubt, Lakshya did something very wrong to her; but that doesn't take way from the litany of sins Ragini committed.

About Dadi: the less said the better. Completely lacking in any moral perspective whatsoever.

Really a pleasure and a privilege to hear from you, my dear. 🤗 Glad to know you plan to read my other work, do so at leisure when time permits.

Lots of Love

Viji
