Those who are familiar with Hindi cinema would surely agree that Ajay Devgn is one of contemporary Bollywood's most underrated and gifted performers. During an eventful career"which spans over two decades, the intense actor has won over countless hearts courtesy his virtuous personality. Today, as Ajay turns a year older, we tell you why he truly is an inspiring and lovable human being
Ajay is Humility Personified: There can be no denying that Ajay is a bankable star in every sense of the word. During his illustrious career he has delivered quite a few blockbusters such as Golmaal and Singham to name a few. Moreover, the star has also won the National award for Best actor on two occasions. However, he remains extremely humble despite these achievements.
Perhaps that is why he has never shied away from playing second fiddle to his contemporaries or even younger stars. For example, in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam he played second lead to Salman Khan. Similarly, he had no qualms about doing a guest role in Fitoor even though the film's spotlight was on the much younger Aditya Roy Kapur.
He is non-controversial: Bollywood stars and controversies seem to go hand in hand. However, Ajay is clearly an exception to this unwritten rule. Till today, he has never really made any wild or loose remarks about his contemporaries. This became clear sometime ago when he was asked to open up about his "rivalry' with Shah Rukh Khan. Replying to this query, he very maturely said that he has never really had any issues with SRK and all such reports were wrong.
Ajay is Bollywood's Family Guy: It is no secret that Ajay has always maintained quite a low profile when it comes to his personal life. The Raju Chacha star began dating Kajol in 1995 during the shoot of Gundaraj. After courting each other for some time they tied the knot in 1999. Since then, they have had a very happy married life. Moreover, they have two children and make it a point to spend quality time with them. Interestingly, when their son was born in 2010, the ever caring Ajay stored the kid's umbilical tissue so that it could serve as a source of stem cells in case there were any problems in the future. Now that's what we call meticulous planning.
He Is not Afraid to Experiment: During his career, Ajay has acted in films belonging to a vast variety of genres. On one hand he has done action-dramas like Singham. While, on the other hand, he has starred in comedies (Rascals) and thrillers(Drishyam) as well. Moreover, he has also been part of some highly sensitive films such as Zakhm andBhagat Singh. While the latter dealt with the life of the eponymous freedom fighter, the former revolved around communal tensions.
