Adarsh tiptoed to kitchen to grab some water. It was already twelve thirty and he was late from office as usual. He didn't want to make noise and wake up anyone. He opened the refrigerator as slowly as possible. But then.. 'Happy Birthday!!' with those words the lights in the kitchen were on. He saw a big bouquet of red roses and his favorite choco chip cookie cake on the kitchen table!
There stood Swadeenta at the door with that cute smile playing in her lips. She looked beautiful in a red sweatshirt. 'Birthday?! Was that my birthday today?' He questioned himself! Ah.. He didnt know.. Neither he cared for birthdays or any celebrations. But what surprised him was the fact that Swadeenta just wished him Birthday! And she remembered this day. That was a shock to him. How did she even know that! He never brought up a discussion on this anytime during their conversations. Even if she knew that it was his birthday he didn't even think in his wildest dreams she would plan for roses and cake at midnight. That was so strange.
'Swadeenta.. how come..?' But before he could complete his words she came forward and gave him a hug. What was happening?' Adarsh was not getting any of these. Why is she behaving so wife type' all of a sudden? This was so not usual of Swadeenta to behave in such a manner..
'Oh hoo.. Dont be so lost you two that you forget other people around..' a sound came in breaking all his thoughts and questions. There stood his Mom smiling at them. "Mom.. You are here? When did you come?" He quickly turned to his Mom and walked to her, not forgetting to give a Thank you smile' to Swadeenta!!
