Is Udta Punjab a remake of 'Requiem for a dream'?? Whatever little i've heard about UP, it gives me similar vibes.

i just read the synopsis of Traffic, seems like udta punjab is inspired by the film, shahid will be the drug dealer, alia will be the drug user, kareenas character will be different coz i assume she is playing a doctor, so there will be three separate storylines like in Traffic

There are some other characters in the film we ain't aware of. I know there's that guy Satish Kaushik ... but maybe tweaked it a bit.
