the image quality for display pics on IF are actually so low that I can no longer see pixels, just spots of colour. this may be a hyperbole of sorts, but I am nothing if not dramatic.

some people put a lot of effort into making icons for their dp's and the quality is just reduced to basically nothing. 😳

^^ I completely agree. The quality is pathetic and its just bad to look at. I, being one of them who puts a lot of effort in making sure the quality of the icons I make are high and then you upload them here only to view a horribly reduced quality version of your icon. Also, please allow all possible image formats for icons, not just JPEG alone.

It was mostly a joke, but honestly it looks disgusting and you guys make such nice things and they're so pretty to look at and they're so wonderful but then the quality is all diminished.

and the JPEG thing is true too, it's about time that this was developed.
