Hello! I would like to begin by saying thank you to those who read and commented on the post I made regarding the previous episode; it's always nice to read your opinions and thoughts, as well as your kind words of encouragement!
Below are the musings of an insomniac - enjoy!
Favourite Scene: The way the entire courtroom scene was played out was absolutely brilliant; I don't think I blinked once during the opening sequence of this episode! For me, the definite standout moment was when Swadheenta told Ahuja to wipe his sweat; the look on his face was priceless! It emphasised the stark contrast between the Swadheenta during the first hearing, and the Swadheenta we saw in action today. Her newfound confidence coupled with the handling of her case today, highlighted the professional growth of this character. I'm pleased that she was not disheartened by the farmers' decision to withdraw their case, and instead joined forces with Ratna, to execute her well-thought-out plan.
Significant Moment: There was some significance in Singhvi's remark about Swadheenta becoming rather emotional regarding this case. One may argue that in a field such as law, it is paramount that lawyers are emotionally detached from their cases; instead, focus more on gathering evidence and presenting it in a manner that works in their favour. Alternatively, it can be argued that some emotional connection is required, as it paves the way for better communication between the lawyers and their clients; these lawyers concentrate on winning the case for not only themselves, but the clients too. This, in my opinion, sparks a stronger desire to succeed in the courtroom - which Swadheenta did today! Both Adarsh and Swadheenta fight for the right causes, regardless of the labels they are given by others - loser or too sentimental. The keep winning' badge was such a thoughtful gift from Adarsh!
Funny Moments: Every time Adarsh fumbles with his words, it makes me crack up! Poor guy couldn't even say coffee properly today! And the way he perched on the back of Swadheenta's scooter, stressed his desperation to have a coffee with her! It's endearing the way he acts so nervous around her, and it is evident through the way Swadheenta teases him, that she sense this! Swadheenta giving Singhvi the law application form with his own name written on it was such a treat to watch too!
Star of the Episode: This title is given to Swadheenta again! Her determination to further this case, and bring it to its end was portrayed wonderfully by Tridha. Even outside the four walls of the courtroom, she did not hesitate to give Ahuja a befitting reply to his silly comments. It is so refreshing to see such a bold female character being depicted on Indian television.
Dialogue of the Night: Ek naya safar shuru karna hai. This line could be indicative of her future relationship with Adarsh; another chapter in her life. It is almost immediately after this dialogue that Adarsh makes an appearance; hopefully now the story can concentrate more on the individual characters of Adarsh and Swadheenta, and how they fall in love. The new journey Swadheenta is hoping for, may also point to the assistant job Suhasini will be offering her in the next episode. I love how she has managed to impress both mother and son!
Criticism: I know I was harping on about this in my last post, but having Adarsh appear in the last minute of the episode was not done! I begin every episode with the hope of some progress in Adarsh's character. Apart from that, I really hope they do not overplay the jiya re song to the point where it becomes redundant, and I have to mute the scenes between the lead characters; it's such a beautiful song!
If you have made it to this part of the post, thank you! I tend to waffle a lot, so please excuse my lengthy explanations! Hoping to hear from some fellow fans!
Goodnight!
