Well, I am not really sure that I buy in to this theory of someone being an idealist. I think we are all idealists as much as we are hypocrites. In our own homes, we want things happening our way. Whether right or wrong, we follow certain ways of doing things, and we don't like it is that balance is disturbed. However, the minute someone extends this principle to work, we think they are being unrealistic.

In my opinion it all boils down to "Selfishness", what is it that "I" want to do that makes "me" happy. It could be many things to many people - power, money, being honest, not doing illegal things, etc etc. To Adarsh, it is his principles, to his dad, it is power. As long as they don't cross moral lines, they are both ok in what they want. But "power" gets you to do things that are normally morally questionable. This in our opinion makes Adarsh more right than his dad.

The problem I have is when people impose their opinions on others and judge them based on these opinions. It was absolutely incorrect of Adarsh's dad to call him a "loser".

I am also not sure I disagree with anything Swadheenta has done so far. This is her first case and she had been burdened with the lives of so many farmers. Normally you are never assigned cases like this. You train under someone who guides you, teaches you, and even then you start off with minor cases without much consequence before you handle high profile cases. Whatever was her reason, she accepted a challenge that is overwhelmingly huge. She is being crushed by this huge mountain on her head without any help and guidance. She does not mind losing... but what about those farmers? I found her reaction of running for help completely believable.
