The scene at the ghat was beautiful- daylight scenes look spectacular, with Sagar looking almost haloed, š what with the light on Vishal, his new hairdo and all- lovely work by the DOP. Again, that entire scene by itself was well written. That entire, I have given you right over me, but you haven't given me right over you š³ was seriously a gem. However as Lady_Bheem said above, I did feel yesterday that Ganga was being a bit too harsh. The CVs will have to do a wee bit to address that or atleast justify it.
Perhaps I may have felt anger in her shoes- until now, there's been no romantic response of sorts from him, let alone a sustained one, while I've been professing eternal love like a loser for months š„±, the guy harps Jhanvi's name at each corner and plays along with her whims and then professes lifelong dosti with me multiple times to boot š” and then, he goes ahead and gets engaged to the demoness herself š, and then says, hey, I truly madly deeply love you today. š Er dude, come again? Some nuts and bolts seem to have gone missing from that lovely head of yours chum š
The thing is, imho, Ganga's just a young girl as strong as she is- often we remember slow progressions of love- romantic ideals of love stay in our heart and mind. Ganga's been insane enough to carry Sagar in her heart for 10 years without any reciprocation from him. And her love had been turned down when he got to know about it. Now, the real care he showed helping her, protecting her, winning her case, all of these have gone into oblivion in the face of the fact that he got engaged to the Jhanjhat šwithout even clarifying what really he felt towards Jhanvi ever š. So well, she can lose it as well I suppose- the anger's going to be short-lived nevertheless.
Yesterday's sindoor scene went 10 secs overboard btw- I fell over laughing over my sofa finally š, quite sure she would desist by then. But I'm glad they seem to have rewritten today's scene in the house. There is no insane sindoor in the maang, but a very neat and collected one from Sagar. I like the idea of SBS attracting publicity for Gangaa through the snippets, but whatever scene they show being rewritten and shot (as insanely tough as that is!) so that the suspense doesn't lose its sheen for the audience. Reshooting this scene is most likely an en excellent afterthought for whatever reasons, but fits us to the T. Hopefully there will not be too much melodrama from the family today.
Pulkit's moved off with the money in his suitcase- that track's brewing nicely. Prabhamami, what do I say? š¤ š¤ That entire scene was fantastically conceived. When Sagar walked in to see the nonsense, that was a dhak dhak heroic moment for sure š³ Can't wait for today.
So, here's š to the entire team- the writing on the show is so unique and sustained, that but for it, Vishal and Aditi would not have been able to give these characters so much of life. But as I've seen sometimes on other shows, an average actor can completely demolish a writer's vision and leave the audience feeling incomplete, so cheers to the entire ensemble cast as well! š Plus, the benchmarking they've laid are pretty high for themselves so, fingers crossed! š
