Greetings, friends.
I am Sharon, not a very avid watcher of the show but have seen it enough to comment on it.
Firstly, I am not a Swara, Ragini, SwaSan, RagYa, SwarYa or Swaragini fan. I am just a Varun and Sanskar fan.
Whenever I do watch the show, it's only for Varun as Sanskar.
At the risk of sounding highly cynical, I have to say this bluntly to our two female leads Swara and Ragini. Get a life!
Shocked? Yes, I mean it. The show started of on a good note, honestly. Two estranged sisters tried to reunite their parents. But now, what a bag on nonsense this show has become.
Now, getting to my topic. I really don't expect much women empowerment from Ekta Kapoor and Rashmi Sharma shows but Swaragini has crossed all heights of degrading women. Swara and Ragini must be around 22-23, right? I don't see them going to college or having dreams or wanting to make a mark in this world. All they want to do is be "atyant sanskaari". Negative Ragini was an illogical but refreshing change. Swara is always saving her family from Kavita, Kaveri, Kavya and Maasi. I don't mind the love angles. Love stories begin at age 14-15 itself, no problem? But as they say, you can't marry the first man you date. If the characters are that young, then their lives should be youthful too! They could have shown SwaSan relationship days and then proceeded to marriage. If the characters were around 29-30, such balderdash is still acceptable.
I don't mean to degrade any charactr or actor but I am so sick of this "Ichcha-Tapasya" storyline. I want Swara and Ragini to be stronger characters like Anandi, Aaradhya and Chakor.
A day after Women's Day, I would request Rashmi Sharma to show the lead characters having some value and being ambitious and not just getting involved in kitchen politics at the mere age of 22.
I didn't itend to offend anyone.
Belated Happy Women's Day to all those beautiful women out there!
Congratulations to Varun, Helly and SwaSan on their victory.

Sharon

very well said...a beautiful message on a womens day...šŸ‘šŸ¼
I would prefer to watch female leads take a focus at their career and at the same time take care of family and hubbies...

tho i agree wid u abt the content that swargini shud b shown stronger but at the same time male leads & oder drama shudn't b ignored. & plz don't call anandi the strong woman. the woman whos residing in her mrd ex husband's family from past 12 yrs under same roof & needs him & his family every now & then 4 her even small probs can't b called as strong woman.
i find swaragini more stronger than the so-called strong woman anandi.
