Killa!! I'm totally spamming but couldn't resist. It's honestly one of the best movies I have watched in recent times. It's so breathtakingly beautiful. Every frame is simply perfect. ❤️

Toss up between Barfi and Udaan for me. There are a whole bunch of movies which have been shot in beautiful locales or feature some brilliant visuals, but in these 2 movies particularly, I felt like the cinematography was essential to the soul of the stories and characters, almost like it spoke for them.

I tried watching The Mirror once, it's not my cup of tea at all. 😆

But yes! Schindler's List, Days of heaven and 2001: A Space Odyssey are my favorites in that department too. Even The Pianist, Beasts of the Southern wild, Amelie, Road to Perdition etc..had excellent cinematography. I find so many b&w films visually captivating too. I don't know what exactly it is, but they have this sharpness to them which increases their beauty..

Amelie and Road to Perdition are great.

Have you seen the Revenant. It is absolutely stunning. They shot the entire thing in natural lighting. I was starring at the screen in awe as the movie went along. It must have taken a great deal of hard work, patience and skill to get those pictures. The Revenant is truly a staggering achievement in cinematography.

Sicario was great as well. But its Roger Deakins, he is exceptional each time around. I cannot wait for Blade Runner 2 to see what he does with it. That have got an amazing team so far.

Barfi for me, but I also like the way JWM is shot.

I remember watching and listening to Hum Jo Chalne Lage made me crave a BW movie on the road. Since I'm an NRI makes me miss India and all those road trips. I also like DCH's Goa trip.
