The television premiere of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has set the record for the most Hindi movie of all-time. The new system that tracks data and calls it TVTs instead of TRPs, is said to be more accurate as its sample size is more than 20000 homes.

Aired on Star Gold on Valentine's Day (14th February), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has garnered viewership of 2,51,19,000 making it the highest, ahead of Bajrangi Bhaijaan which recorded 2,37,45,000 impressions.

PRDP is around 5% more than Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was the previous best. The Kabir Khan directed film continues to be hugely popular on television, even though it has now been aired several times.

With two back-to-back television blockbusters, Salman is possibly the biggest draw on TV today. His tie-up with Star Gold has also helped the channel become the most watched Hindi Movie channel on television today. The viewership of Star Gold is more than Zee Cinema and Movies OK combined!

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has also received better ratings than most other television shows with a dedicated fan following. Naagin received 20284 ratings, as compared to PRDP's 25119.

And this is one of Salman's worst movies 😆

I think this is cause this movie is more like a (Hindi) TV serial, has all the elements to it. 😆

Far too many people were waiting for it to air on TV instead of wasting their money in cinema .
