Randhir looked at her with shock. She sat up on the bed, with tears in her eyes and Randhir sat up too, placing a hand on her shoulder. She hugged him tightly, and Randhir hugged her back, wondering whether she remembered something.
"Why are you asking?" he asked her softly.
"I - I had a dream... it felt so real... it was so beautiful," she whispered to him.
"What happened in the dream?" he asked.
"You and me... and Parth... there was a bet," she whispered, then her eyes widened and she pushed him away. "Nevermind!"
Why was she telling him all this? Maybe it was just a dream and she was looking too deeply into it for no reason. It would just be one more thing for an MCP like him to hold against her.
"A bet?" he asked her softly.
"Nothing!" she replied. "It was actually a nightmare. You were kissing me."
Randhir smiled - it seemed to him like she remembered their first kiss.
"How was the kiss?" he asked her.
"Disgusting," she replied.
"Oh yeah?" he asked her, with a smirk.
Then Raghav started to cry and Sanyukta got up to take care of him, avoiding Randhir's flirty comments - she didn't know what was happening, but that one dream felt so real... it couldn't have just been a dream, could it?
Randhir just fell back on the bed and went back to sleep, giving her the space that she needed to think about her feelings.
He knew that she was being drawn to him, and whether she remembered it or not, he would get her love back. For now, he was just enjoying the journey of watching her fall for him... that in itself was a blessing.

The next morning, Randhir was at work and Somya at school, when Sanyukta was sitting at home, playing with Raghav in the living room, all the while, wondering about the dream she had last night.
The doorbell then rang and Sanyukta went to open the door, holding Raghav in her arms.
To her surprise, it was Parth. Wasn't he supposed to meet Randhir in his office today like Randhir asked him to? Why did he come here? Shouldn't he know that she was home alone?
"Hi Parth," Sanyukta said awkwardly.
"Hi," he replied, and then glanced inside.
"Come in," she said, and allowed him in.
Parth sat down on a sofa and Sanyukta politely asked him, "Do you want anything to drink?"
"No," he replied, "I just wanted to see you."
"Okay," she replied, sounding confused.
She sat next to him, holding baby Raghav in her arms.
"He looks just like you," Parth said to her and Sanyukta smiled brightly.
"Does he?" she asked him. "I think he looks like Randhir."
"I actually came to speak about Randhir," Parth said, and Sanyukta looked up at him with a frown.
"Why?" she asked, wondering why he would want to speak to her about Randhir.
"Well... you don't remember anything so I thought it is best that I tell you what happened," Parth then told her. "Randhir's hiding it from you."
"What happened?" she asked him, frowning.
"Sanyukta, Randhir must have told you that he married you for revenge," Parth said, and Sanyukta nodded. "The truth is that he couldn't see you happy. We were in love."
Sanyukta's eyes widened and she gasped loudly.
What was Parth saying?
"Wait you mean, me and you?" Sanyukta asked with disbelief.
Parth looked upset and nodded.
"We were very in love, ever since our college days, but Randhir couldn't stand it. So he married you to make you miserable," Parth replied. "The truth is... through your marriage with Randhir, you never stopped thinking of me. I was apologizing for hurting you because I wasn't able to save you from this loveless marriage. Randhir only ever hurt you, he always only made you cry."
If Raghav was not in her arms right now, she thought that she might throw something out of anger.
"How could I love you?" was all she said, with disbelief.
Suddenly, she felt like crying - what was happening? Here she was confused about her feelings for Randhir, and now another guy - her husband's best friend, showed up at her doorstep claiming that she loved him? Her dream yesterday showed her that she loved Randhir, and her heart only beat faster when Randhir came close to her... so how did Parth fit into all of this?
"Please leave," she then said, as she looked up at him tearfully.
"But Sanyukta -" Parth stated, but she cut him off.
"Get out," she told him angrily.
He nodded and walked to the door.
"Think about it once more Sanyukta... don't let your lack of memories come in between who you have loved this whole while," he told her, and she sniffled, having a hard time dealing with the bomb that had just blasted in her life.
206
Parth had genuinely been sorry when he went to ask for Sanyukta's forgiveness yesterday, but something changed between the time he met Randhir in his office, and the time he met Sanyukta that day.
Randhir had nicely explained to him that Sanyukta was suffering memory loss, so it was better to not remind her of the past. Randhir told him that the past was the past, and both he and Sanyukta had forgiven it, but he had to stay in his limits... all he knew was that this memory loss was perhaps another chance for him.
So he went to see Sanyukta, to tell her lies, to see if this second chance was really meant for him. If she came to him, then fine... but if despite all this, she decided to stay with Randhir, then he wouldn't meddle anymore. It was just so hard to control himself, when all of this looked so bright for him.
As he was leaving outside Shekhawat mansion, he saw a car pull in, and inside the car was Vidhushi.
"What the hell?" she asked, as she pulled in. "Where did you come from?"
She had come to visit Sanyukta and was met with the biggest surprise when she saw Parth here. She was trying to hold back the feelings that were threatening to come out - she was a married woman now.
"Vidhushi?" Parth asked incredulously.
"Why are you here?" she asked him, immediately suspicious.
"None of your business," he replied right away.
"Don't create anymore trouble in her life please," Vidhushi begged Parth.
"I'm not, chill. I just came to say hi," Parth replied, and then started to walk away.
With a sinking feeling in her heart as he walked away, she knew what she had to do.
She dialed Randhir's number right away.
"Parth was at your house, he was speaking to Sanyukta... I don't know what he talked to her about, but I don't have a good feeling," she informed him. "As for now, I'm going to handle Parth."
She then hung up the phone and ran after him. She had come here to visit Sanyukta, but it looked like she was meant to visit someone else today. She had to give someone else a dose of her medicine.
207
Randhir drove home right away when he got Vidhushi's phone call. He did not trust Parth one bit. It was only after he got Vidhushi's phone call that it finally made sense to him that someone like Parth might try to take advantage of Sanyukta's memory loss.
As soon as he entered the house, he ran to their bedroom and saw that Sanyukta was sitting on the bed, in deep thought. Raghav was sleeping in his crib.
Randhir sat next to her on the bed and she looked up at him with tears in her eyes. Without him even saying a word to her, she wrapped her arms around him tightly and rested her head on his chest.
When she did this, it felt like all her stress and worry vanished. She felt like she could think clearly. He held her to him lovingly, and she listened to his heartbeats.
Why did what Parth say matter to her? Even if she loved Parth, why did it matter now? She didn't feel this when she was with Parth... she didn't feel this weak feeling in her knees, these butterflies in her stomach, the erratic beating of her heart.
She felt it with Randhir.
Randhir hadn't once made her cry. He hadn't once hurt her so much that she hated her life. At least, not in the memories she had with him. So why should she believe Parth's words. In the last two months, surely she would have felt miserable if he actually wanted her life to be that way... but not once did she feel so suffocated that she wanted to die.
"I'm sorry," she cried, tears falling down her cheeks. "I doubted you for a moment. I'm sorry."
Randhir smiled and rubbed her back soothingly.
"You doubted me?" he asked her.
"I thought... nevermind," she whispered, and then broke the hug, wiping her tears.
She still couldn't admit that she thought of him so fondly.
Then she burst into tears again.
"Come here," Randhir murmured, "I have something to tell you."
She glanced up at him expectantly, trying to control her sobs.
"What?" she hiccuped.
Randhir sighed and used his arms to pick her up from her spot on the bed and drag her to his lap. Her eyes widened immediately.
"What are you doing?" she gasped, forgetting completely that she had just been crying a moment ago.
"I want you to know something. The world will tell you a million different things... don't listen to anyone. Don't even listen to me," he told her softly. "Listen to your heart. Only your heart will tell you what's real and what is a lie."
She looked into his eyes and fresh tears filled her eyes. With shaking hands, she cupped his cheeks.
"I... I don't know why, but I want to... I want to..." she started, and gulped.
"What?" he asked her, glancing down at her lips, like he knew what she was talking about.
She nervously licked her lips.
"I - I want to... I want to k - k -" she started, but before she could finish what she was saying, he had leaned forward slightly, so his lips were just an inch away from hers.
"You can," he whispered. "If you want to."
She closed her eyes, her heart fluttering... it seemed to her, like he would never initiate this, and right now, she was drawn to him so strongly, that she couldn't help it.
Then she gathered the strength to lean closer to him in order to close the gap between their mouths.
208
Her heart was probably about to explode in her chest as she leaned forward. She didn't know what she was doing, but it was like all logic and reasoning left her at this point. Randhir asked her to listen to her heart, and the way he spoke to her, perhaps made her fall for him, but now upon listening to her heart, she knew this was what was right.
So she closed the gap between their mouths.
As their lips brushed over each others softly, she felt one of his hands slide into her hair, stroking the back of her head, and his other hand rested on her lower back. Her hands were still on his cheeks, shaking, as she kissed him.
His lips were so soft - it was like she could do this all day. They were comforting, they were loving, they were even... homely in a sense. As he kissed her back, she felt self-conscious - as far as she remembered, she had never kissed a boy before, so she didn't even know if she was doing this right.
"You're amazing," he murmured against her lips, and that comment made her stomach perform somersaults.
She was amazing?
Was he referring to how she was kissing him? Because she was hardly moving her lips in fear of doing something wrong. Still, that comment made her loosen up to the point where she didn't feel like a stiff board anymore.
He pressed his lips against hers with more force and she went weak... what was it that he was doing to her? Why did this feel so good? She tried to kiss him back the way he was kissing her, but then shied up again. No... she couldn't be a good kisser... not unless she remembered how to kiss.
Randhir broke the kiss - or rather, the touch of their lips, and looked into her eyes, caressing her cheek.
"You don't need to worry about anything," he told her softly. "Kisses are in flesh memory. It's like driving - I know you haven't forgotten how to do that. The technique is already in your subconscious... so be free."
"F - free?" she whispered back to him, her cheeks burning. "Was... was that right though? Should we not have kissed?"
"Why not?" he asked her seriously. "Or rather, let me ask you, why did you kiss me?"
"I don't know," she admitted. "I just wanted to."
"Then it was right," he said with a smile. "You listened to your heart, that's all."
"Can - can we try again?" she asked him nervously, her heart fluttering again.
209
Randhir smiled at the way she asked him so innocently - it was sweet of her. He had been waiting for months for the day to come where he could place his lips on hers again, and now that it was finally here, everything was so different.
Just before she had Raghav, she would jump on him even while he was sleeping, and do more than kiss him senselessly. She would not ask him, but would use him as a tool to satisfy her hormones whether he initiated it or not. He never complained, because that in itself had been sexy for him... now she was a shy girl, who was discovering her feelings for him.
"You don't have to ask," he replied.
"What if you're not in the mood?" she asked with a pout. "You always say you aren't in the mood."
"I'm always in the mood if you understand that it is what your heart is telling you to do," he whispered, stroking her cheek lovingly.
"Oh," she said, blushing, and then, with her hands still on his cheeks, she kissed his forehead. "By the way, why did you come home from work so early?"
"I wanted to see you," he whispered, taking one of her hands in his.
He brought it to his lips and kissed the back of it softly.
She took a deep breath and removed her hand from his grip before cupping his cheeks again and pressing her lips against his once more.
This time, she did it with such force that he fell backwards on the bed and she fell on top of him.
He held her down against his body as she kissed him with such intensity, that his breaths were actually taken away. He kissed her back, trying to slow her down.
She broke the kiss quickly and looked at him with a question in her eyes.
"Can I use tongue?" she then asked him, her face red.
Randhir thought he would have a heart attack when she asked that. She had gotten so bold in the last few minutes, and she was practically asking him to make out. While he didn't mind it, he didn't know if it was good for his physical well-being.
210
"No!" he finally said after the shock of her question wore off, and rolled them over on the bed so he was on top and in control. He leaned into her ear and whispered, "That's enough."
She blushed from under him and placed her hands on his chest. He kissed her cheek lovingly and then got up off the bed.
He was about to head to the door, to walk out of the room, when he felt her arms wrap around him from behind and her face press against his back. Surprised, he turned around and hugged her properly. She rested her head against his chest.
"When can we do this next?" she asked him and Randhir smiled, it was like they had to book a special appointment to do this.
He broke the embrace and gently pecked her on the lips, causing her to blush again.
"Whenever you want," he told her, cupping her face lovingly.
"Now then," she demanded and Randhir smirked.
"You're lucky I'm going easy on you right now," he teased, "You would pass out if you saw what I could do to you."
She turned a deeper shade of red.
"I would not," she replied, looking down shyly.
"I have to pick up Somya now," he told her and then pulled her into an embrace again.
He buried his face in her neck and started to plant soft kisses there. She gasped.
"Randhir," she whispered, half-moaning.
Now she was feeling sensations in other places of her body... perhaps in places she shouldn't be thinking about. Oh no... this had to be how they came out with two kids.
Still, she was too lost to push him off.
He removed his face from her neck and kissed her cheek again.
"I'll come back after picking up Somya from school," he told her. "At night we can spend some time... exploring."
She blushed again when he said that and licked her dry lips. Randhir tried to ignore the sight of her licking her lips but it was difficult.
"Don't test me," he whispered into her ear.
"What - what did I do?" she stammered.
"Be good," he told her seductively. "You don't know what I can do to you yet."
Then with that, and a final smirk, he let her go and walked out of the room. Once he went, Sanyukta fell on top of the bed and buried her face in her hands, still blushing.
What was he doing to her body?
211
Somya ran inside the house after her father picked her up from school. Sanyukta was waiting for her inside the dining room where food was already served. It was Somya's favourite shahi paneer.
"I love you mommy!" Somya exclaimed as soon as she saw what was on the table. "Yay!"
Randhir followed her into the dining room and smiled before saying, "I love you as well. "
Sanyukta blushed and looked down - of course he didn't mean that, did he? How could he? He was just teasing her as always.
"I love you too sweetheart," Sanyukta said to Somya and sat down next to her. "How was school today?"
"Good. But mommy why do you look so shy?" she asked, noticing how her mommy wasn't even looking at her daddy properly.
Randhir sat across from them and smiled admiring her shyness. He found her very adorable.
"I'm not shy," she replied and forced herself to look up. "See?"
Somya giggled.
"Mommy it looks like you're blushing," she replied and then glanced at her father, "You won't even look at daddy properly."
"It - it isn't like that," she replied, sounding embarrassed.
"Somya it seems like your mom has a crush," Randhir then said and Sanyukta's mouth fell open.
How could he just say that in front of their daughter?
"Crush?" Somya asked, her eyes wide. "On who?"
"Yes I would like to know too," Randhir replied playfully. "Tell us dear."
"But daddy it has to be you... who else can she crush on? She's your wife," Somya said, rolling her eyes.
"Is it me dear?" Randhir asked Sanyukta playfully.
"Who - who said I had a crush?" she responded, finally mustering up the courage.
"Whatever. But please don't start kissing with your door unlocked like last time. It was gross," Somya said and Sanyukta's eyes widened when Somya said that.
They kissed with their door unlocked and Somya witnessed that? They had been that out of control?
212
Sanyukta and Randhir both kept quiet for the rest of dinner, until Somya finished eating and declared she was going to do her homework.
Sanyukta took Somya's plate along with hers and Randhir's to the kitchen, to put them in the dishwasher.
It was only when she felt a strong pair of arms wrap around her waist from behind and his breath on her ear, that she realized Randhir had followed her.
"You know, one thing we never did was have a steamy time in the kitchen," he murmured into her ear, and her heartrate shot up.
"W - what?" she gasped, envisioning them making out in the kitchen with her on top of the counter.
"It was one of your fantasies," he whispered and she turned a deep red.
Of course, the thought of making love in the kitchen was incredibly hot, but right now she hadn't even mastered basic kissing... and here he was already talking about having a steamy time in the kitchen? What was wrong with him?
She turned around to face him and said, "I'm not interested in you."
Randhir chuckled as he watched her go back in her denial mode.
"We'll see how much interest you don't have tonight," he said with a wink, and then kissed her cheek quickly before turning around and leaving.
She couldn't believe the crazy things he was doing to her right now... the weird sensations she was feeling on her body were foreign to her. On top of that, the random yet incredibly sexy things he kept whispering in her ear made her want to do things to him that she did not even know how to do! How could that even be possible?
No... no way. She had to keep her hormones in check, otherwise the MCP would think of her as too easy. She wasn't going to be easy for a guy like him.
213
That night, Sanyuka nervously waited for Randhir in her room. She made sure to put Raghav to sleep earlier, but she wasn't able to put to rest the butterflies in her stomach. Just the thought of kissing him again made her whole body shiver with excitement.
Sanyukta had even found a red satin nightgown that fell to her knees amongst her clothes. She wore it and was nervous - the gown revealed more leg than she had worn in front of him. On top of that, she had combed her hair nicely and even had applied some light makeup. Then she had the question of what possessed her to want to look good for him? Why did she want him to find her attractive? Why was it that a part of her wanted him to look at her through lustful eyes?
She shook the thought from her head and sat on the bed, nervously, waiting for him to enter after putting Somya to sleep.
Randhir finally entered the room and once he saw her, his eyes lit up. Without saying a word though, he grabbed his t-shirt and sweatpants from the wardrobe and disappeared into the bathroom.
Sanyukta frowned. She was looking hot here, and he couldn't even acknowledge her presence? What was wrong with him?
Yawning, Randhir came out of the bathroom and got in bed.
"Turn off the light when you're ready to sleep," he murmured, and turned his back to her. "Good night."
Sanyukta's mouth fell open - here she dressed up for him, put Raghav to sleep early for him, and was waiting for him, but he didn't give her any attention?
For some reason it hurt... but more than that it made her angry. She wanted his attention, and Sanyukta was not the type of girl to lose determination. She would get what she wanted, by hook or by crook.
214
What was his problem? He was the one who was going on about tonight earlier, and now she was ready, he was the one who seemed to have forgotten? How could he just forget? And why was it hurting her so much? She shouldn't care if he didn't desire her, or if he forgot about her... why should she be remembered? It wasn't like she was in love with him or anything.
"You're sleeping?" she then asked sadly.
Randhir opened his eyes and turned around to face her. She looked upset, and he felt guilty - he didn't want her to feel insecure or hurt. He just wanted to have her admit to him that she wanted him. That was all.
"You don't want me to sleep?" he asked her softly.
"N - no! I don't care," she denied.
"Okay then," he said simply, and then was about to turn around to close his eyes again, when Sanyukta grabbed his shirt to stop him.
"Don't," she whispered. "Please?"
Then she laid down on the bed and rested her head on his chest.
"Why?" he asked her. "Why don't you want me to sleep?"
She reached down to the bottom of his shirt and slipped one of her hands inside, causing him to shiver.
"What are you doing?" he asked her.
"I just want to touch you," she told him innocently, but that innocent statement sent so many dirty thoughts to his mind.
"Touch me?" he asked, somehow unable to control himself from repeating it out loud.
Finally understanding the sexual conundrum she had made, she blushed and said, "Ew! Not in that way."
Randhir smiled and stroked her hair lovingly as she moved her hand up his chest.
"Actually... maybe..." she said, and then looked up at him with longing eyes.
"What?" he asked immediately. "You want to -"
"No! I mean... yes! I mean no! I don't know... maybe," she then said, and then buried her face in his shirt, trying to hide her embarrassment.
Why was this happening to her?
215
Randhir continued to stroke her hair as she hid her face in his shirt, trying to cover up her embarrassment of half-admitting that she wanted to touch him.
"Why do I feel this way?" she asked, her words muffling into his shirt.
"What way?" he asked her softly.
"Like... I want to get closer," she whispered. "Like I want to feel every part of you, touch you everywhere, and k - k - kiss you everywhere."
"Easy there," he told her, chuckling, "Baby steps first farzi."
"Hey," she said, irritated, and lifted her head from his chest as she glared at him. "Stop calling me farzi!"
Randhir rolled them over on the bed so that she was trapped under him.
"Do you remember when I was doing pushups?" he asked her.
She gulped and nodded, his close proximity making her shiver.
"You don't know how badly I wanted to make love to you right there," he admitted in a husky tone, then he leaned into her ear and whispered, "I wanted to f**k you."
Her eyes widened when he said it like that. Randhir smiled. For him, it was always making love, but in the situation Sanyukta was in, her lust for him would intensify if she heard it being said like that... and that was what he wanted. He wanted her lust to intensify so much, until she finally used that to understand her love.
She turned red, and pressed her thighs together, her whole body aching now. She wanted him really badly.
"I know you want to touch me everywhere," Randhir then whispered with a smirk, "But let's start off simple okay? Let me touch you first."
He wanted to touch her? Oh... her body was aching to be touched by him, but she was scared.
"W - why?" she asked, trying to regain her composure. "Why can't I touch you?"
"You'll pass out, out of embarrassment," he pointed out with a smirk. "But don't worry, I'm not going to touch you today. Today, we start off even smaller."
"Smaller?" she gasped.
"Would you like a kiss Sanyukta?" he asked her softly, looking into her eyes.
She gulped and nodded, glancing down at his lips longingly.
216
Randhir brushed his lips over her earlobe and whispered, "If you kiss me, then you can get what you want... you have to initiate it."
At this point, she didn't care who started it anymore... she just wanted to senselessly kiss him. Her arms wrapped around him and pulled him down on her. Randhir didn't protest, he just let his body fall on top of hers, and his lips met hers in a passionate kiss.
It was the deepest kiss she had given him today, and she wasn't stopping for anything. He had pushed her over to the edge and now she was craving him more than anything.
Her hands cupped his cheeks and with every movement of her lips, his lips matched hers. Without even realizing what she was doing, she slipped her tongue into his mouth, tasting him more and more.
Perhaps this was what Randhir meant by flesh memory. She didn't have a problem trying to figure out how to kiss him anymore... it was almost like this art was embedded in her subconscious mind.
As he kissed her back passionately, he pressed his body further against hers. It was only when she felt it, that she broke the kiss and looked at him with wide eyes.
"What is that?" she gasped, feeling the hardness on her thigh.
Randhir didn't reply - instead he started to plant wet kisses on her jaw, and then moved his lips down her neck. She bit down on her lip so she wouldn't moan.
As he sucked on the nape of her neck, she pressed her legs even more tightly together. It wasn't helping. So she tried to adjust her body from under him so his hardness was aligned with her soft spot.
"What are you doing?" he gasped, knowing that he was going to go crazy if she was about to do what he thought.
"I don't know," she murmured, feeling high.
Then she pushed him off her, and he fell backwards on the bed. She climbed on top of him and sat up on his crotch, causing him to shudder, before she smacked her lips against his. As she rubbed herself against him, he grabbed her hair and tried to pull her off. Sanyukta, who found this extremely sexy, just pressed herself further against him.
"Let's take our clothes off," she told him longingly after breaking the kiss.
She really felt intoxicated right now.
