Shirish Kunder to direct a short film!
Natasha Coutinho | TNN | Feb 20, 2016, 01.25 PM IST"Shirish and I live in the same locality and often meet to discuss ideas. He is an intellectual and a deep thinker. I loved the script and figured it was the perfect time to collaborate with him. We are now ready to shoot," reveals Bajpayee, who has previously been a part of two short films. He played a constable in Devashish Makhija's nine-minute, 'Taandav', while in Vinay Jaiswal's 'Jai Hind', that also featured his 'Shool' and 'Aks' co-star Raveena Tandon. 'Jai Hind' was him playing a middle-class Indian taking his wife out for a birthday dinner.
Shirish confirmed the development, saying, "This is the perfect script to come back with. It is an interesting genre, the film should be out by April. I have never approached people with scripts. Manoj happened to suggest that I do something for the digital space and that's how 'Kriti' came into being."
He also reveals that he has been working on his next feature film simultaneously and has locked the script of the crime thriller, which he made "some relevant changes to" after completing an advanced course in script-writing from Los Angeles. "The second film should go on the floors by winter, around November, because the story needs snow," he reveals, adding that once he starts shooting, Farah (Khan) will take a break. "One of us have to be with the kids."
