Even with 40-50 surgeries they can never get their face back. There was a women who underwent around 40 surgeries and spent about 50lakhs but sadly it didn't help her.

Acid attacks are way way way too strong. The most frightening thing is its extremely easy to find people who would throw acid for you. One of my friend is in heavy spare parts business and he employs several debt collectors. He fired one of his manager due to some problem. The manager paid some guy Rs. 20,000 to throw acid at him. The debt collectors found out and beat the hell out of the manager and the guy who got paid 20k. Both are in prison now. But this just shows how easy it is to ruin someones life.

it may not bring back her original face but at least she cn stand on her own feet and earn respectable living. Ofcourse people are heartless enough to remind her tragedy every now and then but i hope she gets courage

On acid attacks, I guess SC has now restricted buying/selling of acids and there have been other restrictions imposed too.. I think there shud be strictest punishments for those who commit this crime..
