Here's why other A-list actresses rejected Yami Gautam's role in Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil!

Hrithik and Yami will be working for the first time. But did you know that Yami's role was rejected by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Parineeti Chopra?

Yami Gautam has now been signed to play the lead opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kaabil. But there's something not many know about. Yami was not the first choice for the film. It was only after A-list heroines like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Parineeti Chopra rejected the offer that the makers decided to cast in a smaller star like Yami in the film.

Reason: The heroine dies before the interval! The film is about a blind guy who takes revenge of his girlfriend's brutal rape and murder. The story is uncannily similar to Salman Khan's shelved film Buland. And given that Yami's character will only be there in the first half, none of the big heroines wanted to take it up. We understand.

Now, Yami is quite experienced when it comes to playing dead in films. In Badlapur, where she was paired opposite Varun Dhawan, it was her character's death that was the turning point of the film. In Action Jackson, too, she played a brief role opposite Ajay Devgn before vanishing. So, with Kaabil, it will be her hat-trick of playing the miniscule lead.

PS: We also got to know that Yami will be playing a blind girl in the film.
