Agreed( I had even opened a topic on how good they were in Tamasha)...Tamasha was such a good movie...had excellent performances by both Ranbir and Deepu...probably one of the bests of 2015...but then it failed at BO...so no body cared...just like Ranveer got cheated for Lootera...Ranbir got cheated for Tamasha...BO numbers do matter at the end...and then we diss and kick the actors for running after BO numbers...see no one cares for an excellent performance if the movie doesn't set the cash register ringing...

I agree with you about performances, DP was excellent here and I wish she'd won an award for this role. Ranbir had a difficult character to play but for me it wasn't as great as it could have been maybe cause the character itself was difficult for me to connect with

I think the commercial failure added to the fact that the movie was not well liked cannot be blamed alone as Ranbir won the award for Rockstar despite similar constraints. This time he lost simply cause there were better performances.

P.S. The writer does a great disservice to DP's talent by crediting Ranbir for her good performance...sorry state of journalism when such biased articles are published in supposedly reputed news portals

There will always be dissent among fan groups as to who deserved a best Actor award, i m just glad there were some very strong contenders for Best Actor this year..Salman, Ranbir, Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer. The award could hv gone to any one of them and it woudnt really hv mattered because the performances were of the highest order. In the end, it was also the film, the preparations Ranveer made for the character, the buzz. There was also the added excitement of a newer face contending for one of the male categories.

Ranbir did an equally fine job in Tamasha and Bombay Velvet. but his films flopped and hit films hv an edge over flop ones. that is all there is to it.

If i had to choose i would hv chosen Ranbir..his acting gives me goosebumps. But no one can say Ranveer did not deserve Best Actor.

i agree the writer is writing a biased article to what end i dont know. she is not doing a favour to Ranbir by any means. Ranbir never needed this kind of blind support, his talent speaks for itself.

He is Ranveer Singh not Kapoor😛
