How beautiful these two names sound together!Even after amalgaming them into one,it still maintains its charm.The unsung heroine and the parallel lead,of the unforgettable epic Ramayana.However,there are versions that don't even mention about Urmila.The only information available is that she was sita's sister and lakshman's wife.Everyone says ,it was a great sacrifice as being a lady ,she allowed her husband to fulfill his duty towards his brother.Both Lakshman and Urmila have been known for their dutifulness. People hardly know about Urmila.Yet,there are those few,highly attracted to their tale.I stand one of those,enchanted by the saga of Lakshman and Urmila.I too see Lakshman and Urmila as unparalleled characters,prone to their deeds and decisions,I regard them as stronger characters than anyone else in mythology. This has been what attracted me towards them.Morover ,people have been repeating tales of Ram and Siya and henceforth we all know them very well.Their story is unique and popular and no one could replace them.Narayan and Lakshmi,duties and responsibilities, rights and wrongs,love and sacrifices, rebel and revenge, this is what ramayan is all about.
And then there comes the other princess of mithila,who was totally different from the elder one.I see her more than it,a human being,a women but no ordinary.A person with immense strength in herself and one with high intellect and decision making abilities.A great sister and Sita's biggest emotional support,more than what lakshman could have felt for Ram.She had her own believes and was true to herself.As what I have searched about her,she was a brilliant painter and a scholar as well.A gem so undiscovered and unfairly left out by great ancient writer of Ramayan.Urmila or waves of passion,or 'where the head meets the heart'!

DISCLAMAIR:So everyone knows here that such a huge LakshMilian I am!*claps*Yaayy!My username says it all,as I say.This thread is dedicated to star LakshMila,presenting their drabbles which are nothing but mere result of wasting my day and drooling over KaYu.Whenever i feel like writing, i would write them here in this thread itself.Warning!you have to bear with me guys as i am not that grammatically strong.I am really unpredictable and not such a great writer.

Not only you I am also a great fan of Lakshman and Urmila. From the time I studied Urmila as the story for my Malayalam second paper in 9th standard this lady has left a mark on me, so has their story. Lakshman stands the epitome of duty for me and so does Urmila who stands beside him as his strength to perform his duty. I am more at ease in writing their drabbles than Siya-Ram
