This is an extension to 'Fried Rice', that is on page 4. This is written in Abhi's POV!

TANNU

I am driving home at 100 kms per hour. It's almost morning now. I am still in shock and disbelief at what I heard from Daadi and Pragya.

Tannu is NOT carrying my child!! Is it true? Then whose child is she carrying? Why is she lying to me?

I never wanted to make that child or have memories of making it. That is why I did not believe Tannu could be pregnant when I heard it. But she quoted a drunken night and I eventually believed her. But she is pregnant isn't she? She proved that to me. The question is does she have it in her to cheat on me?

When I was dating her I never thought she would cheat on me. Even if she cheated on me, would she betray me by framing me as the father of someone else's baby?

Then what were Daadi and Pragya talking about? When did Pragya overhear Tannu saying the baby is not mine? Is this why Pragya stopped my wedding with Tannu and now also trying to tell me Tannu is a gold digger? If this is true why did Pragya never tell me anything? More than Pragya, why did Daadi didn't talk to at all?

I will deal with Pragya and Daadi later but now I need to deal with Tannu! I have to make sure the baby is not mine if this is indeed true. But how do I do that?

Will Tannu agree to take a DNA test? She would never agree if the child is not mine. I do remember her accusing me that I would not trust her and ask for a test when I found out she is pregnant. But if I think back she never told me she was pregnant. I found it out through Pragya. Why did Tannu never told me she was pregnant until then? Is it because she just wanted to Pragya out and would have told me about the baby later? Or is it because the baby was never mine?

Talking of Pragya, is this the reason why she has turned against Tannu now? Because she was the one who forced me to be with Tannu at that time!

I contemplate on a number of ways to make Tannu speak the truth. I don't want to completely mistrust Tannu for the sake of good times I have spent with her once upon a time, but I am more and more convinced every minute she could be betraying me. I decide on a way to get the truth out.

It's already sunrise by the time I reach my house. I directly go to Tannu's room and knock at her door. Sleepy Tannu opens the door.

"Abhi, you this time", she rubs her eyes. I hug her to make her feel comfortable and walk her to the bed to make her lie down. I lay besides her and sigh.

"Abhi what's up with you?", she asks in surprise. "Everyone betrayed me Tannu. You too! At least you are with me. Despite me losing everything, you are with me", I say brushing her arm with my fingers.

"I betrayed you? What are you saying, Abhi?", Tannu got nervous.

"It's okay Tannu. Your betrayal is not as bad as that of others. Pragya had said she loves me but she took me down, looted everything. Aaliyah is my sister but she wanted destroy me. So was Raj Bhaiyya! And you know what, even Daadi is not with me! Even she is involved with Pragya", I say making a sad face.

"Daadi is with Pragya! What are you saying?", Tannu sits up.

"Yeah Tannu. This was Daadi's plan. Daadi is helping Pragya behind my back", I sigh.

"Are you serious, Abhi? You love Daadi so much. How can she do this to you?", Tannu asks in awe.

"That's what Tannu. Every one of you betrayed me. But you know I thought about all this. I weighed everything. I feel like I lost everyone. But you.. Tannu.. you are with me na?", I ask holding her hand.

"Abhi, I am always with you. I never liked your Daadi. You know I always wanted to send her off to some old age home. She used to annoy me so much. Now it's great you know about her yourself", Tannu says squeezing my arm.

I want to strangle her for speaking like that about Daadi at that moment. But I hold myself together with difficulty.

"Don't worry Abhi. I will always be with you", she assures me.

"I know Tannu. You are with me despite this baby not being mine", I tell her looking into her eyes.

"Abhi, whaaat what are you talking about? Whoo who told you this? Did Pragya tell you? She must have said it to make you against me. Don't believe...anything... like that..", Tannu is shaking with sweat forming on her forehead.

"Relax Tannu. It doesn't matter how I got to know. I just know it okay. But I am happy you are ready to marry me despite everything", I sit up.

"Abhi, this baby is...yo", Tannu tries to defend herself. I am almost sure she is lying given how her voice is shaking.

"It's okay, Tannu. I cheated on you too. I kept you in dilemma while married to Pragya. You know there have been times I slept with Pragya. I never told you. Hope you are okay with that. If you accept that, I am going to accept this baby too. Let's just get over it", I lie looking at her face trying to read her expressions.

"You slept with Pragya? I... well Abhi...",Tannu is trying to not look at me.

"Look, I am trying to be okay with what you did. Don't hold me for sleeping with her. She was my wife, she was in my room all the time, you know.. she just got me emotional at times... but it was the biggest mistake of my life.. she ended up being such a traitor...let's get over it and start off fresh. I am really sorry about sleeping with Pragya, okay?", I try to act as sincere as I can.

"Abhi, I am sorry too. I can't believe you are forgiving me for...but who told you.. look I never meant to.. it was a mistake... I was drunk and I don't know how I ended up with Nikhil.. and this baby happened and..I swear Abhi, I have nothing to do with him.. I will abort the baby also if you...", Tannu says fidgeting with her fingers.

"So you are lying about the baby being mine!", I get up from the bed and make her stand up by pulling her arm. I want to hit her and kill her but somehow her being pregnant acts as a shield. I am shaking with anger now and I hold her arm and drag her out of the room to the main door.

"Abhi, Abhi.. what are you doing? Abhi.. why are you...listen", Tannu keeps pleading but I don't look at her.

I push her out of my house and she falls on the ground.

"NEVER SHOW ME YOUR FACE EVER AGAIN", I tell her and shut the door. I bang my fist to the wall in anger, frustration and feeling shit about myself for entertaining Tannu for this long, and allowing her to play with my life and people. I hold my head and slide along the wall to sit on the floor trying to gather myself.

Abhi's manipulation is bang on... But Tanu leaving MM just like that without hearing anything isn't... She has to listen to all the insults that are w8ng for her since the start of the show..
