Not to offend anyone who watches that show there is another one on colors talking about bonded child labor and I think it is so important but is of no interest to me coz of its treatment . I think you are talking about "Udaan", I have not seen the show but have seen ads of the show while watching IKRS.

And I agree with you that sending a message with an appealing story behind it makes it easier to watch and learn from it.

Agree with you.This show gives a social message and gives a glimpse of the old traditions still persisting in India.I didn't know about Aghoris and searched about it, and they do exist in some parts.
The CVs have not kept their theme aside, yes! for now they have included the KT drama and other stuffs, but side by side they have kept the story going (showing a scene where Dhaani gets humiliated by Pandits in Vip's house).
