CID Written Update: Bhootiya Hotel- 9th January, 2016

Made a very brief update, but I've included all the vital details.The case bored me so much to be honest. Apologies for the delay

Bhootiya Hotel: Jan 9, 2016

Scene 1:

A couple comes to a hotel. The wife scolds him for bringing to such a low class hotel. They argue in the lobby when Viren notices the portrait of a girl. He gasps and tells his wife Rashi that they leave immediately. The manager Sheena asks if they needed any help but Rashi waves her away and goes to the room. As Viren climbs the stairs to his room, he is scared by two people- Kanchan and Sonam, his rivals, dressed as ghosts for the costume party. They tell that they're here for the same work for which he is there. They leave for the party and he too turns to go to his room. He hears a sound and when he turns he finds the same girl in the portrait standing in front of him. He runs to his room and tells his wife that he had seen the same girl in the portrait but she was dead, but Rashi tells him to shut it off and get ready for the party. He gets ready and goes down. Before going, he gets tempted and goes in for two shots. Down in the hall, Rashi meets a Kumar who claims that Viren had cheated him but Rashi calms him down telling she would talk with Viren. Viren enters and a man named Ranjith confronts him and demands him for his share and leaves the place after a threat. Rashi who had been listening to all these, asks Viren what is going on. Viren turns to point out something but he sees the same girl instead. He shows Rashi but no one is there when Rashi turns to see. Viren panics are comes to his room. Rashi rushes behind him but the door is locked on the inside. Sheena comes upstairs and asks to bring the master key. They break open the door.

Scene 2:

We see the CID team in the room. Viren had been killed by a sharp, quick weapon. The doors and windows are locked on the inside and the jewels and money are intact. Pankaj looks for a secret door from the room.

Outside Rashi tells that Viren was worried throughout the party and had left the place in a peculiar manner. Sheena adds that he had been upset right from the moment they entered the hotel and he had even talked of leaving the hotel. Rashi tells that he had seen a photo of a girl who was dead but panicked on seeing the same girl alive on the hotel corridor. One lady tells that the girl is the owner Harshvardhan's daughter and he is abroad. Pankaj calls Daya sir and shows him Viren's belt. In it, they find diamonds of which, no one standing outside has any knowledge. He asks for the man, Ranjith who had threatened Viren. One man tells that he had seen him go upstairs.

The team finds him hiding in the store room. He tells that he and Viren are partners in a diamond racket. Viren had told him that he was going to gift those diamonds to his wife but later he had come to know that he had come there to sell them. He tells that he didn't mean any harm to Viren but only wished to have half of the share. The team arrests him. Daya sir finds a portrait of a lady, whose necklace stones matched with those on Daya sir's hand.

In the corridor, they accuse everyone of lying to them. Rashi confesses that he had known about Viren's gift but had refused to accept it the moment she knew it was gotten illegally. Sheena tells that the portrait must be the owner's mom Vani Devi ji's and tells that all the staff joined on the same day when the hotel was opened 4 months ago. The diamond dealers Kanchan, Mihir and Sonam confess that they had heard from someone that there was going to be a diamond sale, at a cheap rate from someone 2 months ago. But they did not know who was going to sell it. The team decides to check Viren's office.

Scene 3:

In the forensic lab, Salunkhe sir tells that Viren had been killed by a sharp, strong weapon, which can be lethal even if the blood just oozes out of the wound. He tells that Viren could have been killed by an ice pick- strong and made of steel.

Scene 4:

In Viren's office the team meets the secretary who notes down all the details of appointments and deals of Viren. They find a particular dealing which had the same number of rubies and diamonds that were earlier found in Viren's belt. He had received it from a Ratnasundari.

Scene 5:

The team finds the house of Ratnasundari fully burned down. On checking details, Freddy sir finds that the Vani Devi had died in this accident. Wondering what might have happened, they dig in for more details.

Scene 6:

It is revealed that the tightness of the belt in Viren's waist had saved his life for some time. When the ice pick had gone through his gut, the internal bleeding had been very intense but because of the presence of the belt, the bleeding had been arrested temporarily and he lived for some more time.

Scene 7:

Shreya and Purvi are in the party hall along with the other people. Shreya tells them that the team has found out who the killer is and he/she will be revealed shortly. The power goes off and when the power resumes, they find Shreya on the floor, bleeding. Pankaj tells that the weapon was Sheena's. A big OTT drama goes on and Sheena confesses that she had done it. Sheena was Rathi, daughter of Vani Devi and sister of Harshvardhan and the girl was her daughter Akshara. She had left home to marry a poor guy and her family had broken relations with her. After few months of marriage, she was again stranded and didn't know what to do and then she decided to sell the necklace and had hence, called Viren. That night when Viren was to come home...Flashback: Akshara is doing her homework and the doorbell rings. Rathi finds her mother at the door and quickly hides the necklace. She greets her mother and excuses herself for some time and leaves. Just then Viren comes to the house and forcefully takes the necklace and also sets fire to the house. She tells that her mom had told her everything before her death and she decided to take revenge. She turned herself to Sheena and opened this hotel. Once she knew about the diamond dealing, she called offered him more money and invited him there. She had also informed the other dealers. Flashback: Sheena enters Viren's room, drops something in his drink and hides. He falls transiently unconscious and she searches the entire room but finds nothing. Before leaving, she stabs him in the gut with the ice pick and leaves the room. When Viren reached the room and unhooked his belt, he fell down and died. Sheena had changed the portrait of her mother in the lobby to her daughter's and referred to her as Harshvardhan's daughter. She had given no second thought about her daughter just for the sake of revenge. ACP sir delivers the phansi dialogue.
