Entering the 'Bigg Boss' house as a wildcard contestant, Priya Malik already had feathers in her hat from 'Big Brother Australia'. Individualistic and stubborn, she quickly rose to make a mark in the house by standing up for what she believed in. She stuck to her guns during the car task and beat Prince by staying in the car for the longest time. She earned captaincy and immunity for two whole weeks, soon after her entry inside the house and she proved that she was up for a serious game. In an exclusive conversation with TV Times, Priya revealed six things you should know.
1.Being declared as the finalist of the show backfired
I was very disappointed with my elimination but I can't do anything about it, as it has been the story of my life. Whenever I get really close to something, it is snatched away from me. Even in 'Big Brother', I was eliminated a day before the finale and here in 'Bigg Boss', I had to leave the house a week ago. When I was announced as one of the finalists, I somehow felt that this could go against me and it did. I guess being declared as the finalist of the show backfired. Because a lot of viewers, fans and even my family thought that I might be safe anyway, so there was a lack of votes.
2.I am grateful to Salman Khan for his support
I think my journey in the 'Bigg Boss' house would not have been so smooth, if Salman had not been around. He was the reason I took up the show. He never said anything negative about me and kept pushing me to give my best. I think he is the most fair and unbiased host, the show has ever seen. He always told us things that were being discussed outside. He showed us things from his and the audience's perspective.
3.I would not want Mandana to win the show
If you ask me personally, I don't want a person like Mandana to win the show. Having said that, it is not in my hands. It is the votes from her fans that will make her win the show. She is as deserving as others. She has survived eliminations and has reached Top 5.
4.Mandana's PR is an a**
I would like to share this with you. Before I entered the house, I saw Mandana's PR's tweets claiming that whatever she's doing inside the house has been taught to her by him. He is an a**. There can be only two reasons when a person goes on to tweet something like this. Either, he wants take mileage from your popularity or he is actually saying the truth. We all actually felt Mandana is purposely picking on fights with others. She is a double-faced and an absolutely fake person.
5.Rishabh should win the show
Rishabh should win the show and I am not saying this because he is my friend. He is entertaining and likeable. He is honest enough to admit he is playing a game.
6.On her journey
I entered the show with a different perspective about the season and the contestants. My aim was to spice up the show by proving that an individualistic personality can emerge strong in the game. 'Bigg Boss' has been a great journey and I believe, will be a great launch pad for my career in India. I have also found a friend in Rishabh and I would love to see him win the show.
