How do you think this concept will be received? Sounds exciting? Disastrous?

The last time she did substantial work was in 2012. It was all downhill post that.

Very interesting concept. If the story and treatment are good, it has the capability to be super impactful, IMO. Something very relevant to changing times and demands. Can't make a call on whether this movie in particular will achieve it. I'd like nothing more than for it to be great, not only because it'd be great for both of the actors involved but also because a concept as such deserves to be seen and appreciated by many if it is done well.

Tough to say now without seeing the trailer. Kareena is looking gorgeous in the pics and Balki is a good director.

The only fear is, a lot of concepts are very promising on paper, but somehow the execution falls flat. Everything needs to line up. Music, editing, screenplay, for a movie to click

What is the significance of a mangalsutra? Is it just like a wedding band? Or is it deeper in a sense that it means the woman belongs to her husband, a bit more old fashioned, for lack of a better word here, in terms of how the wearer and the one who puts it on are perceived in their respectful roles in the marriage?

For a while it seemed like this movie was about a career woman and her supportive stay at home husband. But now I'm wondering if they are going to portray Kareena's character as emasculating and Arjun's as someone who's doing what he's doing not because he wants to but because for whatever reason he doesn't think he can do any different; fear or low self esteem or whatever it maybe. And if it's the latter are they going to be clear about what these characters really are? Or are they going to present her as a "feminist" and him as a "modern husband" and basically screw the whole supposed message of the movie?

I'm not sure if I articulated what I'm thinking into words here. I hope you guys got what I'm trying to say/ask.

@BOLDED
I defeintely don't think it's that. What i noticed in the poster is that Kareena carries a very "feminine" air. Bangles, fully groomed, hair curled. So it's not like she's overpowering him in any way or anything or being aggressive or being a tomboy or anything. I think she's as feminine as can be, and he's as masculine, but they both live their life in a way that society thinks should be opposite

This looks interesting... but cn't say how it will be.. things may look good on paper.. bt execution what matters.. Balki's previous film was flop.. bt the concept was good... i just hope this works for kareena's sake... Want to see her in a meaningful roles ...

^^ @Desigal, If that's the case, and I hope it is, then I would go with your previous statement about how the concept is executed. It certainly is very intriguing. I want to watch this, in spite not being fan of Arjun Kapoor.
