Tumm Se Tumm Tak actor Ravjeet Singh on playing a doctor with pure intentions

Ravjeet Singh has joined the cast of Tumm Se Tumm Tak as Dr. Mohit, a character that immediately connected with him because of his sincerity and purpose. Produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah under Studio LSD, the show continues to build its narrative around everyday relationships, with Ravjeet’s character adding a grounded and humane layer to the story.

Talking about what drew him to the role, Ravjeet shared that Mohit’s intentions stood out from the start. He explained that Mohit is a doctor whose primary goal is to help people, sometimes even choosing not to charge patients. According to him, this selfless approach made the character relatable and meaningful to portray. Ravjeet said, "Mohit has a very likeable quality about him, as his main motive for being a doctor is to help others; sometimes he wouldn’t charge patients for his services. He loves his work and is very passionate about it. What drew me was his earnestness and his calm demeanor in tough situations. I get to explore the empathetic side of myself."

Finding Similarities Between Real and Reel Life

Ravjeet also feels there is a strong similarity between his real-life personality and Dr Mohit's. He believes, as his character does, that he prefers to understand a situation fully before reacting. He added that Mohit’s kindness and loving nature resonate with him on a personal level. "I feel I also take time to assess a situation before concluding Mohit. Also his kindness and loving nature," he shared.

Before stepping into television, Ravjeet worked on several OTT projects, including Sharma Ji Ki Beti, What The Folks, Unbachelored, and High Heels, and appeared in multiple TV commercials. Speaking about Mohit’s journey in the show, Ravjeet revealed that the character does not initially realize that while helping a patient, he would slowly begin to develop feelings for someone. Reflecting on this turn in the story, he said, "That was a bit of a surprise for me too."

Challenges, Key Scenes, and Set Memories

One of Ravjeet’s favorite moments on the show is the scene where Mohit expresses his love for Anu. While he is enjoying playing the character, he admitted that there were certain challenges involved. He mentioned that fitting into the show happened quickly, thanks to the supportive cast and crew. Ravjeet also highlighted scenes where Mohit has to calmly explain the importance of health to Gopal ji and his family, while ensuring that professional boundaries are maintained, as Mohit is first and foremost a doctor helping a patient. "I had fit in instantaneously, but I would give the cast and crew the credit, as they were very welcoming from day one," he said.

Sharing a lighter moment, Ravjeet recalled a prank played on him by the crew on his very first day, which helped break the ice. He concluded that Tumm Se Tumm Tak feels different from other shows currently on television, as it focuses on everyday people and their relationships. "The show has a remarkable cast, and it shows everyday people and the relationships very well," he said.
