Ishaan Khattar( he has the right look ) would have played Barfi brilliantly without the extra chaplinisque mannerisms, he would have been a more vulnerable version. PC in her 30's was unmatched. She was deprived of awards-such was the PR of one.

Can RK do Homebound?

Barfi,WUS,Rocket Singh..Fans are correct.

Vanga still didn't take Ranbir's name did he? Nor did Namit Malhotra.Only announced name was Yash.

After Toxic what will happen in Ramayana. The polls show that RK will be decimated by Yash.Well his role is like Shahid's in Padmaavat.Yash's will be like Khilji..All about Aura farming.

Honestly imo Ranbir is one of those rare actors where even if the film doesn’t land, his performance almost always does. I can see the effort, the thought, the emotional homework behind every role. He never phones it in..

I genuinely feel that his best performance was Rockstar... because it’s raw, broken, and painfully honest. The way Ranbir charts Jordan’s journey..from an awkward, restless boy to a man consumed by fame, love, and loss,is deeply immersive. His body language, especially the slouch, the reckless energy, the vacant eyes in later scenes, does a lot of storytelling without dialogue. The emotional breakdowns (the Prague scenes, the final concert) feel uncomfortably real.and the way he lipsynced and enacted to those breathtakingly hunting masterpieces,is unbelievable,he almost became those songs...

But Even though I feel that Ranbir Kapoor 's best performance was Rockstar but my favourites are ..Wake Up Sid and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. That’s the heart’s answer.

As you said,Wake Up Sid feels like comfort. Sid is flawed but gentle, privileged but not cruel. Ranbir makes you like him even when he’s immature and that warmth is very hard to fake.

Ajab Prem ki gazab kahani… is pure charm. Comic timing, innocence, vulnerability, and that soft emotional core and remember Prem could’ve been annoying in the wrong hands. Ranbir makes him endearing, almost disarmingly sincere.

What ties those two together is something Rockstar doesn’t aim for us re-watchability and emotional ease, the feeling of “I’d want to sit with this character again”.... which you can't do with Jordan...he can overwhelm you..

Hai na....Prem in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is peak lovable Ranbir.

There’s something so pure and earnest about that performance..The wide-eyed optimism, the selfless kind of love where he wants her happiness, not his win,the way he balances comedy with genuine hurt without ever becoming loud

Prem could’ve easily been a silly, forgettable rom-com hero but Ranbir gives him heart. I don’t just laugh at Prem, I root for him. Even when he knows he won’t “get the girl,” he stays kind. That softness stays with me.

That’s why Prem works on an emotional level, not just a fun one. It’s the kind of character I remember fondly, like an old friend.

Honestly, Ranbir as Prem is one of those roles that tells me why he clicked so deeply with audiences early in his career, that charm without arrogance, love without entitlement was comfort...
