Actually shilpa,this idea was mine and i thought bcoz everytime we make a drabble or short poem and making seperate post will be a problem, and we need pink posts.That's why... I m trying to keep the index well updated with hyperlinks... In thread 2 i will put dates as well... lets see, I am trying my best...

I know yaar but I am little busy these days... I have boards these year... Waise i think this problem will get solved once more people start coming to this forum,with time... :) thanks for your suggestions dear...

guys,I m posting the 2nd part of the story... please read part one before reading this.😊as this story is a long one(both parts together) I am posting it outside of the series as this series is mainly for short works ...

Part 2

Saying so they followed the girl as she when out through the backside of the palace, whispering something to the guard, who was on duty. Kaikeyi and the four brothers followed path, the guard was surprised but couldn't muster courage to say anything. They followed the girl silently till she stopped in the middle of the woods and put down her cloth bag (I don't know what it's called in hindi, we say putli in Bengali) below a shady old tree, and removed her veil. Kaikeyi asked ram, "Do u know who this girl is?" in their hiding behind a tree, "yes ma, this is mandavi, sita's cousin, the one who is proposed to marry bharat,Raj-rishi janak introduced her and everyone else of the family to me after the swambar",said ram.

Just when rani kaikeyi was about to say something she saw a group of kids coming towards mandavi, and mandavi outstretched her hands to give a gentle and sweet hug to the children one by one,and with them was a elder girl about the same age of mandavi. One small boy,"mandavi didi, we missed u. Why didn't you come to meet us from last two days?". Mandavi said," Sorry, you all know na that your sita didi is getting married so I was busy with the preparations".The elder girl said," but mandavi we heard that you are getting married too". Mandavi blushed and replied," yes maybe as I am not sure, as the person who is supposed to marry me did not say yes till now. His father promised my father but I want him to say yes on his own. Yah I said yes". That girl said," oh tell me how he looks? Rajkumars are always good-looking". Mandavi blushed and glared at her saying, "don't say all these things, what will anybody think if they hear you. (Smiling)waise I didn't see him, and how he looks doesn't matter he should have a good heart , btw I am sure he doesn't know how I look as well. We won't get to see each other before marriage".Lakshman and shrutagna were having hard time to suppress their laughter, and bharat glared at them but ended up smiling himself. Mandavi said," thanks vandana for bringing the kids to me. You know how much I love them." One small kid," mandavi didi, after marriage you will go away then what will we do? And sita didi,shrutkriti didi and urmila didi is also going with u". Mandavi said," so what whenever I come here I will definitely come to meet you all when I come here and I will tell badi ma to take care of u all and vandana didi is here also. And I taught u something last day we met. Do u all remember. Children said in commotion, " yes yes didi" and they all started singing together.

While mandavi was picking up her cloth bag the children started singing,

Hum ko man kee shakti
Dena man vijay kare
Dusaron kee jay se pahale
Khud ko jay kare

{Mandavi while giving sweets to the kinds from her bag added,}

After they finished the song the kids started stuffing their mouth with the ladoos. And mandavi smiled and said affectionately rubbing the corner of a small girls mouth with the end of her choli where the remnants of the laddo was stuck," kids promise me you will never forget this song." All the kids nooded their head and mandavi gave them hugs again before bidding them a bye and giving a hug to vandhana, unaware of the five pair of eyes watching her. She waited till the kids and vandhana were out of sight then she started her journey to go back to the palace.

Ram said," ma I should apologize to her for following her and distrusting her like this". Lakshman said,"why will u go alone bhaiya,we all will go." Kaikeyi said, " no only I will go and apologize and talk to her." kaikeyi came out of their hiding and called mandavi from behind. Mandavi was too shocked and scared to reply but she turned around. Mandavi bowed down to kaikeyi's feet and said,"maharani kaikeyi,I saw u last day with ma. But may I ask why are u here?"kaikeyi said, "sorry dear we were following you as I wanted to know why you are coming to the forest in the afternoon." Mandavi smiled and said," I can understand your worry maharaniji,I just came to meet these kids who are children of the soldiers in our army. Their fathers risk their lives for us so if we can do a little effort to bring smile to their faces that would be very less compared to what their family do for us. But we can try to make them happy. And I know u must be wondering why I came stealthily, it's because my mother doesn't like me coming out of the palace premises without guards and I don't want the kids to get scared seeing the guard, but bade pataji, badi ma and my sisters know. Maharaniji I think I should proceed towards the palace before mother comes to know." kaikeyi nodded and said,"you go I have some work left.will come soon." Mandavi said,"but won't you forget the way to the palace? You are new to this place." Kaikeyi said, "no I won't,the palace isn't that far. Now you go. You are getting late". Mandavi nodded and gave a soft smile before proceeding towards the palace.

When mandavi was out of sight kaikeyi called her sons out of the hiding and said smiling," bharat this is exactly the girl I wanted u to marry. Her heart is so filled of compassion, love patience and innocence yet she is wise." Ram said," ma I told u sita's sisters are her shadow (parchayi)". Bharat smiled and added,"Just like we are bhaiya's shadows". Kaikeyi smiled and took all her sons in a motherly hug and said,"now I have no doubts in mind about urmila and shrutkriti as well. All these sisters are jewels and will be adored by everyone in Ayodhya and will make an abode in everybody's heart." And they proceeded towards the palace.
