&TV's popular fiction Bhaghyalakshmi' will be rechristened to Saubhagyalakshmi' from the New Year, its been confirmed.

Judging the promos, which started over the weekend, the new name ties in with the show's storyline leap.

The Rashmi Sharma produced drama stars Sara Khan, Apurva Agnihotri, Neelam Sivia and Abigail Jain. It will also introduce Bollywood actress, Sheeba to the show.

The new renamed show Saubhagyalakshmi' will air from Monday 4th January in the same time slot.

With new characters, an interesting storyline coupled with some high voltage drama, &TV's show Bhaghyalakshmi will be rechristened as Saubhagyalakshmi' starting 4th January, 2016. Aired every Monday - Friday at 8:00PM on &TV, Saubhaghyalakshmi will see actors Apoorva Agnihotri and Sheeba Sabir along with Abigail Jain, Sara Khan and Neelam Sylvia take viewers on an intense yet remarkable story revolving around well defined, strong characters and their tryst with fate.

The show started off with Ansh and Bhoomi tied in the holy bond of matrimony against the wishes of Ansh's family. However, as time passed by, characters like Pavitra and Yuvraj took the drama to newer heights

Now with the leap on 20 years, story will revolve around the kids of Prajapatis - Pavitra's (Sara Khan) daughter Kuhu, Divya's (Anupriya Kapoor) daughter Kavya, and Bhoomi's (Simran Parinja) daughter Muskaan. Sara Khan herself essay the character of Kuhu while Abigail Jain will be seen as Kavya and Neelam Sylvia as Muskaan. The story will mark the journey of these three girls and the bond they share with each other and their grandmother - Bhabhi Maa essayed by Aruna Irani. Apoorva Agnihotri will be seen essaying the character of Samarth Ranawat and Sheeba Sabir will be seen as his elder sister Bhairavi Ranawat who will add a twist to the whole show. Speaking about the leap, Sara Khan said, "I am excited about the leap as well as my character Kuhu. It's a very positive role unlike Pavitra's which was a negative one. The dynamics of the Prajapati household have changed and the upcoming leap will see a new plotline altogether. Kuhu's character allows me to explore new avenues in my acting and also I get to play my age."
Speaking about his entry on the show, Apoorva Agnihotri said, "I am glad to be a part of &TV. The show when narrated to me came across as a promising one and I dint have to think too much before saying a yes! The characters are well defined and the plot is quite interesting and I am certain it will appeal to the audience. I will be portraying the role of a rich business tycoon Samarth Ranawat who is the new owner of the Prajapati mansion. I hope the audience appreciates our efforts."
