CHAPTER-35: DIM THE LIGHTS

Waiting for their turn for an hour now, both of them sat in the waiting lounge, expecting for their ride. The cool zephyr and the sound of the vigor of the river were majestic in their eyes as they have never seen such beauty in their entire life. The peaceful surroundings and the chirping of birds, the sound of the river and the people's scream out of happiness made them feel content yet excited for their turn.

"When are we going? I'm bored already!" she wailed. "May be by another fifteen minutes. Just think of your enjoyment. This is actually worth the wait" he said.

"Oh really? I don't think so" she retorted shrewdly.

"Have you ever tried river rafting?" he asked, with a relaxed smile.

"Nah. Never. Why?" she snapped back.

"Then, why aren't you excited?" he rubbed his hands in cold as the temperature grew colder.

"I am excited, Ranveer. But, I cannot wait, you see. I'm not as patient as you." Looking at her in confusion, he asked "Then how on earth did you wait for nine long months with that big bump?"

She chuckled as they were now called for their turn. Getting up with their jackets and their trekking bags, they went along with the keeper who asked them to sit, for their ride. Sitting inside, Ishani smiled ear to ear as he simply saw her, happily. The ride started as they now were able to take a glimpse of all the beauty surrounding the place. The mountains, the water from the river, the birds chirruping in happiness, the splish-splash of water on their faces, the fresh smell of the pasture and water, the mixture of the pebbles and water and the sound of the jangling of the pebbles...These natural resonances made Ishani go into her own world as Ranveer took his binoculars and camera out from the bag, clicking pictures of her as well as the surroundings, simultaneously.

Another splash on her face made her get up from her world as she wiped off, looking at him blushingly.

"So, how's it going?" he asked, clicking another picture of her.

"Nice, very nice...I'm loving it!" she squeaked as Ishani now tied her hair to a ponytail.

"So, was it boring?" he asked, placidly.

"Nah. It was worth the wait, as you said" she chuckled as Ranveer said "I told you! So are you happy with this?"

"Of course, Ranveer. I'm happy. What are we going to do after rafting?"

"Trekking. And, you've got a surprise too" he winked. "Surprise?"

"Yeah, surprise" he smirked winking as she shook her head back, looking at the flowers and the bees, which were sucking the nectar from them. Smiling carelessly, she saw the rest of the place as she noticed the sun slowly visible to her eyes, yet there wasn't any warmth.

"The place is too cold that we aren't able to sense the sun "she sighed.

"Why have you worn the sweater and mufflers? Is it not warm enough to make you feel warm?"

"It is. But the warmth from the sun is something different" she smiled as they reached the end of their rafting journey.

"So that's done!" Ranveer squeaked, making her get down. As both of them thanked their keeper, they left the place for trekking. Tying on their trekking shoes tight with their glares on along with their map and torch, both of them started to walk for the next few hours.

Walking down for the next three hours now, he found her gasping for air as he saw her frantically. "Ishani, are you okay?" he caught hold of her shoulders as he found her starting to go pale.

"I am, Ranveer. I'm a bit tired of walking, that's it"

"That's it? What do you mean by that? Look at you, you're going pale again!" he said as he caught hold of her, still more tight.

"I know. Just chill, I did take my medicines, you know" she said, breathlessly as he continued "I know. But the thing is, why are you going pale?"

"I guess I'm weak. I've been walking for a long time now. May be because of my three hour long walk."

"Are you sure?" he asked as he made her sit down on a crooked, yet a plane surface. Taking the glucose packet out from his bag, he gave her some as she had them, without any protest.

"Are you okay now?" he asked, caressing her cheeks.

"I guess. My back is paining, yet" she sighed, crying in pain.

"Will you able to walk? We are almost there!" he motivated her as she got up "I guess. Let's start" she said, only to limp back to the ground, with a whimper.

"Ouch!" she cried as he caught hold of her, carefully.

"Ishani. You aren't fine. Are you?" he asked, his voice concerned.

"It's paining Ranveer!" she cried as he carried her into his arms, "Is it paining now?"

"Of course, it is!" she said, catching hold of her back in pain.

"I'll help you walk. Don't worry" he said and started to walk, carrying the bags and her.

"Is it paining?" she asked as she saw his irregular breath.

"Nah. It's not. Look at the place! We're going to reach! Just another kilometer!" he said, his breath irregular and panting as Ishani saw him in pain.

"Ranveer, don't lie. You have been walking for the past one hour like this. How's it not paining? I'll be fine. Trust me" she said.

"I'm fine, you got that?" he gave her a stare as she fell silent.

Reaching the point after half an hour, Ranveer made her stand as he now, gave out a huge breath, panting.

"So, where are we?" Ishani asked him and gave him some water as he had them saying "We'll stay here for the next day and get back to the resort for shopping. After them, we'll get back to the airport for home"

Patting his back with her one hand and placing the other over her back, she said "Sorry Ranveer, I made you suffer even now"

"Nah, I'm fine. Now will you be able to walk? I have to show you the surprise!" he squeaked, his eyebrows still having the pain.

"I will walk! That's what have I been saying for the past few hours! But where will we stay here?" she glanced at the whole surroundings as Ranveer whispered "That's where the surprise is"

Seeing her look at him confused, yet excited, he slowly stepped forward as they reached Mountain High Camps' which had about hundred tents all over the place with a stellar atmosphere. The stars, rays and the clouds- everything can be seen directly from the tent as it was located in such a locality where couples from various parts of the world like to spend their time with their loved ones.

Looking at the whole place awestricken, Ishani turned towards Ranveer, who was smiling at her. Rushing down, she hugged him tightly and whispered "Thank you so much for the surprise, Ranveer! I'm so blessed to have you beside me" she cried.

"I'm blessed, actually. Otherwise, I wouldn't have got a Patrick in my life" he chuckled, as the sniffing sound of his, was audible enough for breaking their hug.

"Why are you crying now?" she asked him, as the phone vibrations too supported her. Picking up the phone, Ranveer managed to say a hello.

"Do you remember my voice?"

"Of course! So finally, did you make a decision?" Ranveer asked as Ishani snatched the phone from him and squeaked "Hello Papa! How're you? Did you make a decision or not? When have you planned to come back?"

"Ishani, I'm fine. And are you sure that I should come? Will your mother accept me?" he asked, his voice guilty.

"We'll take care of that. Now book your tickets and come back! And if you see Diana and Dusty anywhere, tell them my best wishes"

"Okay" he said and whispered "Bye"

"Bye? Already?" she asked him as he answered "Ishani, you've come out with your husband for a holiday. Remember that!" he warned her as she chuckled "How do you know that?"

"Ranveer did tell me about your trip, sweet-heart" he said, "Okay then, bye. Love you!" she said and hung up the call, turning back towards him, but was shocked as she couldn't notice him.

"Where did this guy go?" she thought and went inside the place, finding him in the counter. Walking slowly, she stood beside him as he smiled at her, painfully.

"Is it still paining?" she asked as Ranveer answered "I'll be fine"

"Our tent is set in a perfect place, you know? It's just perfect!" he changed the topic.

"Really? How's it going to be perfect?" she gave him a mock punch over his shoulder as he continued "It's a solitude place completely surrounded by the mountains and there will be no other tent other than ours!"

"Blimey! Are you serious?" she squeaked as he gave him a bare smile. Slowly tucking inside the place, he walked towards the tent as Ishani followed him, like a kid, though she still had pain.

Reaching their tent after a few minutes, Ranveer said "You've got a bed and a table here along with a few necessities. I'm sorry, there's no television here!"

"Ah! That's okay! I'm already happy, you know! Such a big tent! It looks like a cottage, you know?"

"Cottage? Is it that big?"

"Yeah, Ranveer! Tents are generally of a smaller size. But this is huge!" she let her mouth wide open as he kept their bags on the table and continued "I'll just change and come"

After changing himself into a new pair of shorts and a sleeveless black tee, he rested himself on the bed in pain as Ishani said "May I go and change?"

"Yeah, why do you ask me?" he asked as Ishani smiled and went inside to change. Changing her into a denim blue shorts and a white buttoned shirt, she came back, sitting on the bed, her hands in contact with his shoulders.

"Should I massage you, Ranveer?" she asked as Ranveer drowsily answered "Hmm"

Applying the balm over his shoulders and back, she massaged him as she saw his face satisfied and pain-free. Sighing and leaving a small grin, she pulled over his muscles to and fro, giving him proper massage as he said sleepily "Thank you, Sunny"

"Thank you? For what reason Ranveer? There's no need for any thank you between us, got that?" she retorted back as he gave her a beam, his eyes still closed.

"Okay" he answered her and got up slowly. Holding her hands into his, he said "I'm sure it must be paining for you, right?"

"I'll manage Ranveer. Don't worry" she smiled as she got ready to get up. Stopped by him, she saw him, asking her to sit.

"How'll you manage?"

"I'll manage. Somehow or the other. Trust me" she said as Ranveer continued "Lay down here, I'll massage your back. I won't pain, trust me" he said as Ishani looked at him, blushing furiously.

"No, It's fine" she said turning back.

"Ishani, look at me" he said, cupping her face. Looking at her, he whispered "I'm your husband and I have this right on you. It won't hurt. I'll make you back to normal if you give me a few minutes"

"Uh? But Ranv-"

"Do you trust me?" he asked, closing her mouth.

"I do. But when you are already in need of my help, how can I ask for your help?"

"So, let's put it this way...when you're already in need of my help, how can I ask you for your help? Got any answer?" he asked, his hands were once again cupping her face.

"No" her face fell.

"Then, lay down now. I'll massage you" he said and made her lay down. Taking the balm into his fingers, he applied them over her hips and spinal which made her soothe. As she moaned his name in pain, Ranveer looked at her saying, "Are you okay?"

"I am" she said, her eyes closed in pain. Smiling, he continued with his massage as he now travelled towards her front side of her. Turning her around, he massaged her stomach and her shoulders as he saw her eyes, still closed in pain. Turning her half around, he unbuttoned her as Ishani sensed his advancement and opened her eyes, in shriek.

"Ranveer? What are you upto?" she asked him, confused.

"I'm...well, nothing" he said as he re-buttoned them, again.

"Go ahead" she said, her cheeks going crimson.

Happy with her response, he unbuttoned her once again as Ishani closed her eyes, this time too. As he was about to unbutton the last one, Ishani stopped him as he looked at her confused. Looking at her, he asked "What? Is all fine?"

"Will anyone see us, Ranveer?" she asked, getting up from the bed.

"No one. I've asked the keepers for privacy. No one else will enter this area apart from us unless we ask them to. This is a private zone. Fine?" he said, giving assurance to her as she moved forward, brushing her nose against his. Hugging him from his neck, she tilted his face as they kissed, without any disturbance. Tasting her juicy lips in such a fashion was his dream, for the past two years. Both of them did not have any physical intimacy after Rashni came into their lives and today, they did not want to miss it.

Breaking from the kiss after few minutes for air, he made Ishani lay down once again as he noticed both of them were already feeling breathless. At last, unbuttoning the last button of hers, Ranveer now looked at her as she avoided eye contact from him, in shy.

Leering, he fell upon her, kissing her neck as she found herself heavy because of his weight over her. Hugging him, she reciprocated to his kisses as he took the blanket and threw it above them. He took away the strewn pillows simultaneously as he kissed her once again. Throwing the pillows to the floor, he saw her, his eyes overflowing with passion and desire as Ishani saw him coyly.

Having a look at her flavoured lips, he brushed them against his as it started off with a subtle kiss. Though the kiss was firstly subtle, it soon turned into a passionate, strong one as both of them did not wish to stop it today. Burning the calories after their petite smooching session, Ishani turned over as she was now over him. Looking at him with a fierce craving, she slowly took his tee from him as she was now able to see him clearly, his upper body clearly visible to her, just like him.

"Should I tie my hair if it is uncomfortable?" she asked him, her voice cracking out irregularly as he replied "Anything is fine for me, Sunny"

Smiling at him, she trailed her fingers all over his torso as Ranveer felt her all over him. Smiling from his heart, he slowly unbuttoned her shorts as she looked at him, in surprise.

"You are too fast, Mr.Vaghela!" she hit him mockingly as he saw her lovingly.

"Am I? I don't care!" he said as Ishani now took his hands and placed it on her physique, asking them to roam around freely around her. As both of them could see each other half stripped and the other half yet to be exposed, Ishani moved towards his ear lobe, kissing in love. Aroused, Ranveer finally let go off his shyness as he turned back to his original position, back again above her.

Slowly unpinning her shorts, he took them as he was now able to see her clearly except for her unexposed parts of her body. Growing crimson, she looked his eyes coquettishly as Ranveer went down to her thighs as he sensed her shivering.

Looking at her, he asked "Feeling cold or..." smirking. All she could give was a furious blush as Ranveer came back for his work on her thighs as Ishani interrupted-

"Ranveer!"

"Hmm...I don't like when you're disturbing my work" he complained.

"This is something very important for your work, Ranveer"

"What's it, Sunny?"

"Dim the lights, Ranveer"

The lights did dim, but it lighted up their lives, once again as they relived their memories once again and underwent the same night, once again.
