Even for a prince, to break the shackles of traditions and established rituals is hard to break
For people believe in the act, but do not dig beneath the surface to stay connected to its motive

Raja Janak himself is connected to the soil of his land

As is his daughter Sita, so she sees the thirsty tired horse and not the Royal flag on its back

She has won the horse with her love and compassion, as have the soldiers of Ayodhya happily put down their guard in front of Mithila naresh, while they accept his hospitality

Yesterday Rama called out to someone to protect the horse, today Sita made the same call..

Yatha raja tatha praja : as is the King, so are his people

Inn Mithila, there is simplicity and harmony of thoughts and ideas

Whereas in Ayodhya, everything is complicated, and all motives are complex

Rishi Vashishtha knew what Rama wanted to do, but he wants the decision to be by consent and not coersion

Kekeyi in her self-centredness, is happy that Rama is breaking a pratha, for that gives her a reason to demand other prathas can also be broken

Dashratha is after glory, so he wants the ceremony to add to his grandeur,

The priests want to maintain the old order and like lakir Ke fakir, do not allow any dilution of rituals

Jabali just wants to feed his cynicism

No one spares a thought for the creature about to lose its life

Except Rama and Sita - so far yet so connected, they've never met, yet their thoughts are one, their paths have never crossed, yet they complete each other's mission

Beautiful connection between Rama and Sita. The grown up Sita is so pretty, I am sure they will look good together.

Will Rama be able to win the people to his side and fill their hearts with compassion?

Ram's expectation got fulfilled, though he is yet to know it
Probably he will know ,when he finds that piece of Sita's cloth
in the wounded horse leg

And now Ram is trying to fulfill Sita's expectation
Most probably he will succeed

Sita was very beautiful today
Loved her scene with horse
was so heartwarming

And Ram as always was calm even after seeing
priests, people and the king himself is against him
Still he didn't give up

Waiting for the day Ram and Sita will meet😳

Curious to see how Ram will manage
to convince the gathering tomorrow😊

What a beautiful episode today. The contrast between Mithila and Ayodhya was yet again conspicuous.

Siya is beautiful and strong ..just as I pictured her.

Loved Ram's patience ...he let his Father, the priests , Jabali ,the people and all assembled there to have their say before he was going to put forth his statements.

I love this so much! Bale! Very good point you have made. I love how they show the stark contrast between Mithila nd Ayodhya!

Only people that are concerned about the horse is Ram and Sita.
Horse is representation of innocent creature thrust into adharma situation.
Killing of horse? People think that is killing the "adharma" but it is actually killing only the horse, the innocence only.

Even Maharaj Janak, as much of a Rajarishi as he is, knows he must uphold the customs of rajyam, and leaves Sita alone with the horse...

Mata Sita and Sri Ram are meant for each other.
Two people that love the world and will give anything to protect an innocent are the type of people that the world needed.

jai siya ram 😊

Yes, Sita looked beautiful and is quite impressive in her intro scene. Let's see how well she does in the emotional scenes.

Ashish as Rama, looks really nice, esp the calm serene look. He was also impressive in the fight scenes.

Can't wait to see their chemistry together

Rama convincing the gathering - he can easily declare that he will not follow the pratha, like a dictator, but he wants to take the democratic approach of consensus, but will face opposition from hardliners.

I am sure with his humanitarian approach and compassion he will convince everyone logically and not forcibly

That's the beauty of Rama, his has divine powers in him, and also the Royal authority with him, yet he chooses the path of gentle persuasion and conviction and not force of any kind. Truly a democratic leader!

I must say, even the horse was a beautiful creature, with such gentleness upon its face and in its manner, as if it was really tired and was soothed by Sita's kindness.

I am eager to watch How Rama will gently yet convincingly win over all the praja, and abolish the pratha of killing a live animal and instead perform it symbolically.

The substitution of the real with an idol, we saw Kaushalya do it for shanta, now we see it for the horse, much later we will see Rama do it for Sita, after she is banished.

Very wonderful point you've made, to kill the horse as a symbol of killing Adharma, is not meeting its objective, because it's actually killing an innocent, which is committing Adharma.

Another very observation you've made is that Janak, leaves Sita to minister the horse, because he in his capacity as the King, knows the pratha of ashwamedha, and so does not go near the horse, or ask any of his officials to do the same

I loved how the soldiers found him in the fields, working with the farmers! How different is he from raja Dashratha, who believes that King must keep himself aloof from the praja.

Excellent scrutiny Arshics. I have just few points to add which I observed from the show.
1. Sumitra had good qualities which made her know the truth of Ram but in yesterday episode she lied to Kaushalya stating that she didn't know the reason for kaikeyi's changed behavior. For me the reason may be Sumitra came to know the truth by accidentally listening to husband-wife convo, which she should not disclose to others. There is a thirukkural which states that if a lie saves a life in a circumstance compared to a truth then it is better to say the lie. Here sumitra not only saved kaushalya but also the future of epic which might have changed if kaushalya knows about broken vachan of dhasarath at that time.
2. The arrival of Jabali in Ashwamedh Yagna. Democracy is just not what we have today; it was even practiced during epic period in a different way. The view of each prajas were heard by the king before implementing the change in the rituals they followed and king didn't go against the people wish which was depicted by dhasarath. Is it not what we say that our voice should be taken into account while enforcing a law? Only difference is here we select the leader of our choice through election and in those time it was by birth line. But atleast the prince tried hard to qualify them to fit to be in throne unlike our recent times.
3. When the priest told that if the practice of ashwa sacrifice is stopped then the devas will be angry, I remembered about Krishna stopping indra puja. That is why when a wrong practice is stopped by an initiator we simply praises that person as god on earth.
4. The intro of Sita is awesome. Her voice was so soothing. Her entire dialogues were just heart-warming. My appreciation to the CV's and cast especially for dialogue writers. Hope they show in a unique way of Janak telling the truth of Sita's birth to her.

So Arshics u are the unofficial spokesperson for promoting the show SKR😉
