Chapter 17 A

Manik's POV..

"Crap..!"I heard Tiger's curse as he halted the car with a jerk.

"What happened?"I asked worriedly. Actually we were going back to Mumbai. All of us fab5, Alya, Mukti and my girl who was sleeping like a baby is my arms..!

"It's such a stupid car..! I think engine garam ho gya hai.!"Tiger again cursed..

"It's ok na Tiger..! Why are you becoming so worried..! Guys lets walk..!"Mukti and her ideas..!

"Mukti..! Tu pagal hai..? You think we will walk on this stranded highway at this our of night?"Jack asked in a shock and Mukti frowned..

"I am not going outside it's so dark..!"Alya spoke in a scared tone and hugged Max..!

"Guys chill let me call for a driver..!"I sorted out the problem and all nodded...! I called for the driver but the agent told me that Car will be there till morning..! So we had no other option now..!

"We can't sit here whole night..! Come on guys...! Get up I am sure we will get some shelter..!"Cabir finally spoke and all agreed..! I look at Nandini and few frowns on her face..! The grip of her hand on my arm became more tight..! Was she in a dream?

"Man-Manik..!"She muttered my name and I became a little worried..! But before I could do something she yelled my name and with that she opened her eyes..!

"Hay?? I am here..! What happened baby??"I asked worriedly as now she was sweating too all my friends who had started walked run back...! Nandini was looking at me with blank expressions..! "Baby speak something? You are making me worried..!"I held her arms it became helpful in breaking her trance..! She hugged me tightly and I was going insane with worry..!

"It was a very bad dream..!"She whispered in my ear sadly and I sighed..

"You don't need to be afraid I love you I am here..! Nothing bad will happen..!"I consoled her whispering soothing words in her ear and she became relax..!

"Nandu..! Car is out of order..! Can you walk?"Tiger came and patted Nandini's head..! She simply nodded and we got down of the car..!

"She don't need to walk..!"I said smilingly and after sometime she was riding on my back..! Her head was on my shoulder and arms wrapped around my neck..! We were walking on the highway for some shelter..!

"I love you so much Manik..!"She muttered in my ear and I smiled..!

"Tiger..!"Suddenly Mukti shouted as she saw us like this..!

"Kya hai?"Tiger asked in a fake annoyed tone..!

"You are such a useless boyfriend..! Look at Manik and Nandini..! Tum ny mjy kbhi aisy nai uthaya..!"She complaint like a kid and all of us were giggling..!

"Oh hello..! Tum nay apna size dekha hai? You want to break my bones?"Tiger asked with a shock and all of us burst out in laughter..! While Tiger received a tight slap from Mukti..! She started walking with us..!

"Nandu..! You tell me about yourself..!"She asked Nandini while Nandini smiled..!

"About me? Tou I used to live in an orphanage until Manik brought me to his house..!"She covered her story in a single line and I smiled widely..!

"Awww aren't they are cute?"Alya exclaimed and we blushed...! Then we talked and talked while walking..! Only Tiger was quiet..! Actually very quiet..!

"Manik..!"Nandini spoke in her all time favorite sugary voice..

"Hmm?"I just hummed as all my concentration was towards Tiger..!

"Mjy neechy utaar dain na ab..! Ap thak gye hoon gay..!"Her concern was so overwhelming for me..! After a little argument she started walking herself..!

Chapter 17 B

"We have only two rooms vacant...!"Manager's words were not much pleasant for me.

"Simple..! We girls in one room and boys in other room..!"Mukti exclaimed and all were smirking looking at me..! Tough time..! But I have to act a little mature I think..!

"Okay..!"I agreed without hesitation and unexpectedly Nandini spoke..

"No..! I want to be with Manik..!"She spoke in a little voice..! All look at her hell shocked including me..! What was happening? She was behaving like me..! But before I could speak...

"Nandu..! Come on baby..! If you will get a nightmare you can hug me..!"Alya said smilingly and dragged her away followed by Mukti..! She was staring at me all the time being dragged with Alya..

"Is she ok?"Cabir asked patting my shoulder..

"I don't know..! I just hope..!"I said shaking my head...!

It was midnight and I couldn't sleep. Ufff Nandini..! Max, Cabir and Jack were snoring..! But Tiger..! Suddenly he got up from his bed and walked out of the room..! I was noticing his behavior since hours what has happened to him? I should talk to him...! I too got up and walked behind him..! I came out and spotted him sitting on the staircase of courtyard...! He was smoking..! WHAT??? I sighed..! He was hell tensed or something was bothering him a lot..!

"Smoking is injurious to health buddy..!"I said softly pulling the cigarette out off Tiger's fingers and sat beside him..! He smiled faintly..! I threw the cigarette away..!

"What's bothering you?"I asked looking at his face and red eyes..

"Nothing..!"He spoke faintly..

"Come on..! Whenever you smoke it's a clear sign that you are tensed..!"I smacked his shoulder..

"Manik I am missing Mom and Neha a lot..!"Finally he spoke...! Oh his Late Mom and Sister..! "Your girl..! Reminds me off my sister..!"He said with a little smile..! "I still remember the day when Dad beat Mom..! Because of Neha..! He never wanted a girl..! I just wish..! I could have stopped Mom..! I just wish I hadn't slept that night..! Mom..! Mom left with Neha and the very next day Police found Mom's scarf near a bank river...! Tjy pta hai Nandini is so similar to Neha..! Whenever I see your Nandu na..! Neha he yaad aati hai mjy..! The way she smiles..! The way she pout..! Such an adorable girl..!"Tiger ended in tears..! He had told me the story of his Mom and sister thousand times..! Whenever he used to be sad he narrated the whole incident again to me..! And I used to listen him patiently..!

"Relax bro..!"That was all my answer and he hugged me..! He used to love his Mom and his 9 months sister a lot..! I was not in the country when his sister born I was out for almost two years and all this happened in my absence..!

"Tu Nandini ka bohat khyal rakhna..! She deserves happiness..!"He uttered the words breaking the hug and got up to leave..! I kept sitting there for long time..! Life kbhi normal q nahi ho skti for Tiger..! I too got up and was about to leave when two tiny hands crawled my waist from back clutched my shirt front..!

"Why are you up?"I asked politely as I pulled her from back..

"Because I can't sleep without you..!"She said cutely and hugged me...

Nandini's POV..

Alya and Mukti were sleeping peacefully. I can't sleep..! Manik..! Those bloody dreams..! They were scaring the shit out of me..! I have to see Manik..! I quietly sneaked out of the room and saw Manik in the gallery..! I jumped with joy and run towards him..! I back hugged him..!

"Why are you up??"He asked softly and pulled me in front of him..

"Because I can't sleep without you..!"I said pouting a little and hugged him..

"Nandini..! I know you are worried..!"He said politely and sat on the stairs with me in his lap..

"I am not..!"I said shaking my head I know I am bad liar..

"You can't hide from me..! You know..!"He said in a serious tone. I know he will make me tell the truth I have to distract him..! I held his collars and pulled him closer..

"Mr.Malhotra don't you think kay ap aj kal batoon me bohat time waste krty hain?"I said naughtily and was about to kiss him when he palmed my lips..! I was shocked..!

"Don't try to distract me Mrs.Malhotra..!"He was so furious..! I gulped the lump down my throat..!

"Man-manik..!"I stammered..

"Chup..! You think you can lie to me haan? Pehly in morning you lied that you woke up because of thirst..! Then after that you freaked my name in your sleep..! Then in front of everyone you said that you want to be with me..! You think I am an idiot? I know you more than you know yourself..! What has happened to you? Where is my expressive Nandu? Tum tou har baat share krti ho mj say..! Now what happened to you?"He spoke non-stop and I lowered my head..! You dumb Nandini..! You think you can fool Manik with your silly tricks?

"Main ap ko preshan ni karna chahti the..!"I said in a little voice and he sighed..! He gently held my chin and made me look in his eyes..

"Baby..! Tum nay mjhy na bta kay ziada preshan kiya hai..! Please tell me what is bothering you? We can get over the problem together na?"He said softly this time and tears twinkled in my eyes..

"I can't lose you Manik..!"I cried hiding my face in his neck...

"Hey..! Jaan am not going anywhere..! Why are you so worried..?"He was worried..! Worried for me..! "Acha look at me..!" I look at him..! "You are worried because of Dad?"He asked and I nodded like a kid..! "The dreams..! Bad dreams are about me?"He was so caring and concerned. I nodded again..! "You...! you should have told me na? Hey..! These dreams na these are nothing..! Don't trust any of your dream just trust me..! Your Manik..!"He whispered his last words in my ear and I felt like the fire cooling down in me..! The thing which was making me restless flew away instantly with his words..!

"I trust you Manik..!"I whispered near his lips. Finally he covered the distance and our lips met..! The KISS of TRUST..! My hands were around his neck and his one hand was on my waist other on my nape..! The kiss was slow..! Yeah romantic one..! I was not ready to broke the kiss but he broke it as we needed oxygen..! Then I hide my face in his neck and we sat there...! Quietly..! In each other's warmth and embrace..!

"Manik..!"I called him after a long pause..

"Hmmm..!"He hummed looking at me..

"Why Tiger bhai was worried?"I asked curiously..!

"He was missing his mother and sister..!"He said in a low tone..

"Oh where are they?"I asked sadly though I guessed the answer..

"They are dead baby..!"He too was sad..! "You remind him of his sister..!"He smiled a little and I too smiled..

"Hmm..!"I had nothing to say..! "What was his sister's name?"I asked as suddenly the question popped me..

"Neha..! Neha Khurrana..!"He said looking at the sky while I just nodded..! Again Silence..!

"Aik baat pochoon?"I whispered after a long pause..

"Pocho?"He too whispered..!

"Manik life me if a time comes when you have to choose between me and your Dad what will you do?"I know I know it was a hell stupid question..!

"Are you crazy?"He almost shouted..
