Shashank Vyas of Balika Vadhu fame is in a chilled out mood after quitting the iconic show."i am spending quality time with my father. Setting up my new pad and bonding with close friends.I am also travelling and taking care of my health",he says.
We then broach topic of his marital status as reports were coming out that he was hanging out with a large number of pretty industry women.This handsome young bachelor originally from Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) says"I am not dating anyone.Dad is after my case to get hitched ,please find me a sweet traditional family oriented girl.'
However there is a rider, Shashank prefers a non-industry girl as he doesn't want to come home and again talk shop."the girl of my dream can be of any profession but yes she needs to be aware of our industry's working style. if you do come across such a woman, rather than calling me please directly touch base with my dad as i have left decision to him.Personally i feel that now is the time to take plunge in holy matrimony.Money & fame can be achieved even later in life. Whenever i meet Miss Right,I would not waste time in dating, Chat Mangani,Pat Byaah is my motto''
What about the buzz that you meeting & hanging out with a lot of industry women??"i am just having good time with people who i feel comfortable with. Adaa Khan is a good friend.I love Sargun Mehta. Surabhi Jyoti is bubbly girl and we have lots of discussion on life and philosophy and last but not the least Aakanksha Singh who is now married is a very sweet friend. Is it wrong to socialize??I live with my dad and he does not understand the workings of our TV industry,so i meet the above friends to let my hair down.In fact it is only now that i am hanging out with friends,earlier Balika Vadhu schedules would leave me with no time."
He does not really care about what the media writes about him."i follow my heart. I was linked up with Pratyusha Banerjee(Balika co-star) before.I will not be surprised if i am supposed to be dating Adaa as well.The worst thing is that you are damned if you do,and you're damned if you don't.For example if you are spotted with your guy friends,you are labeled as gay and if you go out with female friends, you are called Casanova.And you don't expect me to hang out with cats and dogs right? "
Shashank says,"My good nature makes woman more comfortable in my company Some clearly told me that they feel safe with me. However other's also told me that they prefer macho negative guys.I sometimes feel that I will be preferred more by girls mothers than by them Lol."
In closing Shashank adds that he is looking for good juicy work."There is no hard and fast rule regarding any kind of character. I go with the conviction of the makers.I had never been imagined that I will debut with a character like Jagya which give me so much scope to play with different emotions as an actor.I am just one show old and have long way to go."
Do you think your star status will help you net your ideal woman?"I am a very level headed guy and really find it funny when TV actors consider themselves as arrived. The only real stars in our entertainment industry are the three Khan's, Hrithik Roshan and Mr. Amitabh Bachchan."
