Dadi needs a reality smack. Has she so easily forgotten all the despicable things Ragini has done, that she asks for control of the Maheshwari house to be given to her? When did Dadi forgive Ragini and start loving her so much again? If she was truly thinking of her granddaughters' security, it would have made sense if she'd asked for it to be given to Swara.
