I don know..I found the ending in the Tamil version a lot more impactful and poignant..That conversation they have in the climax where she says she is not as good as he has portrayed her in the film and then when she requests him to move on is one of my favorites..And yeah, i agree..That is one reason why i wish it was Simbu and Samantha in the Tamil version though i din really mind Simbu and Trisha either 😆

Of course I agree, the Tamil version was more impactful in the sense you feel very bad for Karthik, and disappointed by Jessie, it was quite painful, while the Telugu version had a fairytale ending, and I quite enjoyed that too!

Honestly I was quite surprised by Samantha's performance. Trisha is an actress whose work I have enjoyed too, but Jessie was Samantha and Samantha was Jessie for me.

That's such a silly misconception. As a Telugu speaking person, I can confirm that it is not true. If well made, even tragic stories are enjoyed by the audiences, for example Mani Ratnam's Geetanjali, which was such a huge hit.

I don't think there is any significant difference between Tamil/Telugu/Hindi audiences. We are all the same.

I've said it for years I want to check out South Indian movies because I've heard so much about them being so so good but I don't know where to start. I have watched Ek Deewana Tha and I didn't like it at all, Amy looked weird with the tan they should have had a better actress and Prateik wasn't that good unfortunately.

I think you should start with Kandukondain Kandukondain or Ninne Pelladtha. Trust me, you'll love these movies. Feel free to ask me for links for the movies. 😊
