I beg to differ. Shergill starts off by telling Preet that terrorists who killed Vikrant are now on a mission and he has been handed over the charge for further investigation. My view is that as a RAW agent, he would be aware that perhaps the terrorist are looking for Preet as she was Vikrant's fianc. What if Vikrant has shared some important information with her? The very reason why Rizwaan (Ishaan) was given a false identity to stay with Hoodas because "Baba" had some reason to believe that Preet is also staying with Hoodas!! But Rizwaan is unaware of this. And now he is being prodded to come close to Preet to get that information, as suspected by "Baba". It was very natural for Shergill to warn Preet because he suspects Ishaan's identity! 😊 So, he asks her to be careful.

I hope there is no twist here where Rizwaan is given directions to kill Preet!!!

yes I agree with your points. Specially I think they don't give time eac track to shape up properly, shows salutatory shifting somehow, makes it not so smooth sailing. About the backstory of the characters, yes they have given us glimpses of that in case of protagonists but need to fine tune to present the characters as consistent. As you said to add depth. Actors are per excellence and thus should be given proper scenes to act upon, just like Friday's confrontation scene. 👏👏Nahi toh khud ke talent se kitna bojh utnayenge. 😆
