Okay Rizwan Ahmed Khan managed to yet again put me in front of my computer to write bout him. There is something so deeply fascinating about this man, and the pain he carries along in his heart that you ache to write about him. Just write so that you reach the core of his feelings.
He is having a normal busy conversation with his wife, is all excited about the upcoming function when due to circumstances, he hears his wife talking about the expectations a girl has from her marriage. He gets up. He comes close to her. Leans in, and directly asks.
"Hamari shaadi se joh tumhari expectations thin wo pori hui k nahi?
His wife was not in her wildest dream expecting such a question to be thrown at her. She avoids. He asks again, this time warning her not to avoid the question. She tries to stall again. He repeats the line again, and finally knowing that he wont be stalled, she leaves, while he watches her go.
DAMNIT!
What was that emotion? with which he asked her that question? What?
Was it anger? .. yes i know you are disappointed, bring it on?
Was it hurt .. why aren't ur expectations fulfilled?
Was it helplessness .. yes i know i failed you
Was it frustration .. only if i could ful fill your expectations.
What was that? I cant comprehend, but whatever it was .. it made time stop.
I dont know what this man is made off? He can be so brave to look in his wife's eyes and listen her say that yes she is disappointed with their marriage. He knew the answer yet he wanted her too say, and sometimes he can be so scared that he can cut his wife not to say that she loves him because he wouldn't know what to do next.
He can become a baby in front of his wife and throw tantrums, and he can be so secretive that he wont let her read his eyes. Kaun hai Ye rizwaan?
I am struck on Rizwaan today. There was a marvelous depiction of his complexed character today. Including the precap.
What was that? a jealous husband not liking a stranger calling his wife? or an under cover agent getting scared his identity may get revealed. There is no distinction, yet the emotions are so distinctly separate.
He stands in front of her and asks .. Kaun hai ye Rirzwan .. God dear .. we all want the answer.
