EPILOGUE
"Mumma, I love Aditya kapoor"
"Sigh! Don't we all?"
"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING PRAGYA MEHRA?"
"Why are you screaming Aditi Mehra?"
"Wait who are you talking about?"
"Aditya Roy kapoor who else?"
"God! I don't mean him, the actor.. He was probably a heartthrob during your time but not anymore"
"How can you say that? He still looks hot!"
Just then Abhi walks into their room taking a break from the football match that he was watching with Purab and Aarav.
"My wife finds someone other than me hot! OMG what did I do to deserve this?"
Pragya rolls her eyes and Aditi chuckles at her favourite member of the family, she was daddy's girl after all..😃
"If I didn't find you hot we wouldn't be having two twenty five year olds at home now"
"You have a point there cutie"
"God you guys! Have all your romance later, after I am out of here! First listen to me please"
"T-Doll is in love?" (He calls AdiTi - T- Doll 😆)
"Papa how do you know? Oh you overheard"
"Of course not! Your face glows and I know someone else who used to look just like you when they fell in love", Abhi turns and winks at Pragya who blushes,(yes even after all these years )and smiles softly..
"Daddy you rock! But your future son in law rocks too cos he is the rockstar!"
"You meant Aditya kapoor -the rockstar?"
"Yes Mumma, not your Mr Hot"
"You mean Adhu?"
"Yup daddy ", she says and gives him a high five when Abhi raises his palm for one.
"This is so cool. Our Adhu boy is going to be our SIL! Such a sweetheart he is! I am so happy for you Aditi ", Pragya says and hugs her daughter.
"Yay I know you would be fine with it!" "Daddy? You didn't say anything!"
"Of course I am cool with it! Come on its Adhu! He is already like family anyway! It seems like only yesterday we had our first contract to design for him and look at where he is today !"
Mehra's are the official designers for rockstar Aditya Kapoor's shows. Aditya started in a small scale first and slowly rose to fame with few of his albums and is now India's one and only rockstar. He has a very good rapport with the Mehras both personally and professionally..AbhiGya couldn't be happier at their daughter's choice for a life partner..
"One question though, when did my T-Doll even find time to talk to him? Weren't you always busy with those virtual lectures of yours?"
"All credit to your darling Purvi. She works with Adhu's best friend (BTW they are seeing each other too), and she forced me to go with her to one of his concerts even when I told her I have classes..then well, we met him and Adhu and I got talking when Purvi ditched me after a while to meet his best friend..well things took off from there, and his visits to our place helped too and he confessed yesterday"😳
"Aww my Bachu is blushing!", Pragya said ,kissing her cheek and Abhi smiled at them not able to believe how quickly his baby has grown into this beautiful woman sitting before him..
"Papa what are you thinking?"
"About how time flies.. It seems like only yesterday your mother and I saw you for the first time in the hospital and now look at you,talking to us about your life partner.."
The three of them smile,and share incidents from her childhood and have a good time laughing at Aaru's antics and Abhi's jealousy whenever Pragya made them her first priority..
Just then Pragya remembered something.."Did you say Purvi is seeing Adhu's best friend? "
"Yes Mumma! Cool na? "
"Does Bulbul know?"
Just then they hear a loud 'It's a goaaalll!" from the living room, a chorus from Aarav Purab and bulbul..
"Omg I forgot the match all together! Come let's go there", Abhi says and they proceed to the living room.
"Hey peeps! What secret were you guys talking without telling us?", Bulbul asked, when she saw them coming out of the room
"Aditi loves Aditya Kapoor", Aditi informed everyone in general and Bulbul's jaw dropped
"You mean THE rockstar?"
"Haan bua", Aditi said grinning widely knowing how big a fan of Aditya Bulbul was. (She switched between Bua and Mami whenever she spoke to Bulbul 😆)
"Is she serious?", Bulbul turned asking Pragya and when she nodded Bulbul literally jumped from the couch and hugged Aditi.."Bachu! I am so so so so happy for you! Aditya so cool man! Now we can listen to him sing all the time"
Purab cleared his throat not pleased with his wife fan girling over someone,who was also going to be their son in law in a few days..
"Arey Purab stop feeling jealous! You know I love him "
"Bua!"
"I meant in the fan way pagal", she replied hitting Aditi's arm playfully and Aarav looks on amused at the exchange.
Purab hugs Aditi and congratulates her. "Thank you Mamu! love you "
"Why doesn't Purvi find someone for herself? ",Bulbul asked, frustrated with her daughter's boring lifestyle. School,college and now work.
"Bua, she has", Aarav replies before Aditi could gesture him to shut up. Purvi had to tell her parents on her own afterall.
"Oops. Okay match is on", Aarav tried changing the topic while AbhiGya chuckled at Aditi's reaction who was glaring at her brother that instant.
"She likes someone? Aaru , Sachi? When was that girl planning on telling us?"
Aditi looked on trying what to tell her Bul Bua when Purvi entered the living room..She looked around and somehow felt like she was the topic of discussion😛.
"Purvi, I told them about Adhu!", Aditi grinning and ran to her cousin who hugged her immediately.."That's amazing! Aww I am so happy for you Di! Come on, I am the reason you guys met properly despite your parents knowing him, so you better give me whatever I ask for"
"Anything for you baby sister! Whatever is mine is yours", Aditi replied,earning a giggle from Purvi and Aaru and a smile from the elders. Just like the parents, Aditi,Aaru and Purvi were inseparable ,right from their childhood and knew everything about each other..Purvi being the younger one was always protected by her Aditi Di and Aaru bhai and she never felt the need to have her own sibling .
Abhi and Pragya had moved to India when the twins were four years old, as Dadi wanted to live with them for a while.. Abhi was taking care of the Indian branch of his company ,appointing Aman to handle the London branch..
So from then, the Mehras and the Aroras have always been together whenever possible and the kids went to the same school.
Dadi passed away couple of years back and the families took a very long time to come out of it.. They were still mourning her loss but was thankful that she didn't suffer from any ailment and passed away peacefully,in her sleep. They tried to think of all the happy moments they spent with her and that worked and helped them move on a bit, knowing she will be with them in whatever they do.
"Aaru blabbered that you like someone. Good luck !", Aditi whispered in Purvi's ears before breaking the hug.
Bulbul grinned at Purvi asking a "Sachi?"
Purvi grinned back, all her nervousness forgotten..she had the coolest family afterall and her mother was more concerned about her love life than she was 😆
"Who is the lucky guy?" , Purab asked his daughter..
"Adhu jiju's best friend, Pranav Mehta.. He is my boss" 😳
"In love with the boss! Ring a bell?" Abhi asked,winking at Pragya
"Wow , the next generation is following our footsteps literally", Pragya replied and everyone in the room started laughing , realising Abhi was Pragya's boss too.
Purvi blushed and smiled shyly when Aditi and Aaru pulled her into a hug. The elders looked at each other and they didn't wait for Bulbul to voice what they decided to do. Abhi pulled Prags in his arms and they walked towards RaBul and had a group hug of their own.😃
When the youngsters come out of their hug, they see their parents sharing a group hug and the girls couldn't help look in awe when Aaru is quick to take a picture in his phone.
Everyone congratulates Purvi and Abhi talks about informing their parents . Abhi's and Pragya's parents had gone on a pilgrimage , one that the four of them had been wanting to do for a long time.
"Guys! Not fair! So only your pyaari Aditi and choti Purvi matter to you! I don't !"
"Haha okay Mr Cool dude, what's the matter?", Abhi asked amused at his son's complaint. Everyone looked on equally confused,except the girls who were smirking at him.
"Aaru..are you nervous?", Aditi pulled her twin's leg. Aaru narrowed his eye at her and looked at the elders mumbling a "I love someone too"
"OMG what's with you guys today! Is it some 'love confession day to parents' or something? I should go check Facebook ", Pragya said surprised and Abhi ad RaBul were surprised too.
"Who is it Aaru?", Purab asked sensing his nervousness..the usually outspoken and cool Aarav was nervous ? Wow
"Adhu's sister-Ananya Kapoor"
It took a moment for the news to sink in but Bulbul was the first to reply with a "Hahaha seriously? Adhu, Adhu's best friend and Adhu's sister! This couldn't get any better! This is amazing!! How did it happen?"
"I didn't know she was his sister initially..it all started with a misunderstanding and she thought I was stalking her or something, cos I met her in my friend's party for the first time and later in a cafe,where she left, leaving her wallet behind and I followed her to give it ..she misunderstood me and got scared initially and apologised later when she knew I had no bad intention .. Well things changed soon and we spoke frequently and all that..only later did I get to know that she was his sister", he admitted sheepishly..
"Misunderstanding !", Purab chuckled ,looking at Bulbul.."Di you were right! They are literally following our footsteps "
"I know right!" Pragya answered and once again,the third round of congratulations and hugs followed. The trio high fives each other at having successfully conveyed their love story to their parents 😆 It sure was awesome to have such chilled out parents!
"So the Mehras and Aroras are ready to welcome the Kapoors and the Mehtas to the family?" Abhi asked ,excited at the news and how all three of them had chosen their partners from the same family, well Adhu's best friend was as good as his family member too. Everyone grinned and nodded, looking forward to it.
And so,the next generation found the love of their lives and thanks to them, their parents could relive the moments from the time they confessed their love for their better half.
Talks with the Kapoors and Mehtas happened and the engagement was fixed for a day,two months later. The parents approved of Adhu and co and could see how happy their kids were,with their respective lovers. Wedding was to take place later as the kids wanted to have a nice long courtship period. All was well with the Mehra, Arora , Kapoor & Mehta clan 😊
So guys , got this idea based on our very own serial as you might've guessed 😆As this story was set in an AU, thought this would be fine and fun 😊
