There's nothing going on between them. Suraj had to get a (post)graduate degree for some position he is trying to acquire so he ends up at Vandu's college. Vandu is his professor. She's been really strict with him but he seems to be melting towards her. He gave her that necklace as a thank-you because he is grateful to her for helping him in his studies. Vandu is just doing her job as his professor.

Vandu and Bala have the same equation they always had and Bala knows that Suraj is Vandu's student.

vanraj has been introduced to defend shagun .her past had just been an accident which started in a harmless fashion.n the guy(Ashok)had been the perpetrator.
